I'm leaning towards making it start in October if 1999 and then most of it will be in 2000 because of one very specific event that happens in 2000 and only people who know my brain will know what happened in 2000.

This might be a hot take but I think just like everything wise is. LJ the worst like character-pasta. Sure like the grammar is better but it just feels so nasty and gross and doesn't have any of the earnestness a lot of the other character stories do.

As the certified LJ guy, yeah kinda true LJ doesn't really have characterization in his original story, more akin to a regular slap-on murder monster of the week. It's more of a cut and dry short story that's super edgy and gorey. LJ's characterization in the Origin Story is a lot better but it's only because he gets to speak. The Origin Story itself feels like half of it's just "And Then Isaac Killed the Innocent Person in a Long Drawn Out Way" His stories lean WAYY too hard into the gore and shock value that it detracts from the genuine feel the other pasta stories, as flawed as they are, have. His design and -premise- of his origin story carries him HARD. Genuinely think if his design wasn't so cool, a lot of people wouldn't care about him. [probably even me, maybe] Canon LJ kinda suxs

#hard agree but also his Origin really didn't give much about LJ personality wise from what I remember #he just kinda was like #he liked whatever Isaac liked and whatever Isaac was like he also was like #I know one way that could be interpreted is Isaac and LJ are actually the same person.#Isaac creating his serial killer persona based on an imaginary friend he had as a kid.#obviously wasn't the intention with the writing but i think it'd be an improvement.#For my own rewrite (if I even should call it that)#I really only took loose inspiration from the actual story.#Ragz was not even originally made FOR Isaac and it's because of that they end up so effected by him #the only thing I really kept was that There is a direct correlation between Isaacs shitty and fucked up actions #and Ragz mental state and stability #a lot of the Harm Ragz does they genuinely are not aware that it's bad or WHY.#there are things that they KNOW are bad and harmful and should never be done but the bar is in hell #and it goes both ways #they also are not aware of a lot of harmful things other may do to them #and I'd do a More close to Cannon LJ similar #He'd be genuinely unaware of how harmful he's being and that killing people is like...Bad???#and not a game #he would be genuinely friendly and nice until he one day decided to play said game #and he'd just think “Were SUCH good friends! besties!” and Isaac was his best friend so NATURALLY he'd share the “game” that they played #which isn't necessarily untrue for Ragz either #Ragz is just more aware Killing isn't part of a game and is a way to get rid of people you don't like. just HURTING PEOPLE on the other hand #I'm yappin now so I'ma stop #I should have just added to the post at this point 😭

Hello! I saw that you reblogged my post, and one of the tags you added was you hoping that Kinger will interact with more characters in the dark. Kinger kind of does! I'm Episode 2, Ragatha opens up to Kinger about how she is worried that Pomni is having another bad experience, and that she is afraid that Pomni doesn't like her.

Kinger tells her that things will be okay, and that he.*remembers* how long it took for Ragatha to adjust. Ragatha is a bit shocked that he does remember that.

He remembers it because at the time of that conversation, he has the bucket on his head. The bucket put him in the dark for a moment, and he was able to remember things for a bit.

OH RIGHT! I completely forgot about that! I do hope that we see more of it. Also am looking forward to just learning more about the previous abstracted characters. If we dont get to see Kinger and Queenie pre Abstraction at some point Im crashing tf out

Kinger from The Amazing Digital Circus is honestly one of my favorite characters. Like from the get go they make it clear that he really likes insects and even has a collection. But it is in the third episode that they tell us that his wife loves bugs and was into entomology. Like how devastating but beautiful is that? And his character is often overlooked so much because he isn't quite all there. He is just a widower who wants some peace man. And that raises intriguing questions. Like, his wife, did she spawn in at a different time from Kinger? Or did they spawn in at the *exact same time?* Cause them both being chess pieces in a world so random with so few others, that leaves some implications. Because if she spawned in with him, does he dread the day he has to leave that world without her? Also, that's why he hides in the pillow fortress all of the time. Because the last time he saw his wife, they were under this giant pillow fort. "The darkness seemed to calm her down a bit". Like my fucking heart dude 😭You have a character who isn't all there mentally be so devoted to someone that when they try to seek control in their life, they seek that person? Pillow fort: is dark, and was the last space he spent with his wife.

Bugs: wife was into entomology. It's a grieving person's way to get close to someone again, to embrace their hobby as your own.

The souls that possessed Pomni literally ask him "How's your wife Kinger?" As a way to try to get under his skin *because* everyone knows he is so devoted to her and is crushed that she is gone. Any amount of control in his life that he tries to get, it's to try to stay connected to her. He doesn't even want out of the circus. He wants his wife back. He loves her more than anything he had in his life prior to TADC. Kinger is trying to regain control of his life the same way all of the characters are. It just looks crazy because he is so consumed with his grief that he couldn't care if he looks crazy coping. Love can bring the most out of us, neither denoting good or bad. He is a beautifully tragic person. What an awful Hell to live, and in the spare moments he is sane in front of others, he uses those moments to be attentive and soft. Not angry or anything. Grief isn't a topic that I think is handled carefully enough. Especially widowing grief. Despite all of his agony, he chooses to be kind in the few moments he has a choice. That is powerful. If argue he'd be sorta emo BECAUSE he's a clown. What your favorite candy?

This has probably been in here for like ages now but you can NOT ask me that! I have no fucking clue there's too many I love. Considering Sweeney's design I would say Candy Corn which is pretty fucking good imo but that feels like a lie. I wanna say if someone put a gun to my head and asked me this I'd probably shout Gummy Bears which are pretty fuckin good so I guess. gummybears. But also that feels like a lie.
