I've had my own creepypssta AU for YEARS now and I've added and expanded with these guys a lot over time. I think this fandom just to take a step back to breath and chill. Like, even then. The whole popularized version of Jeff isn't canon. The real canon is Jeffery Hodek, not Woods. But people have their own verison and that's a-okay. I tend to stick with Hodek more because I find him more personally interesting. In fact, I have TWO Jeff's in my story. The Hodek and Woods variety, but they are their own characters because I'm attached to both verisons.

Let's just take a chill pill, y'all because hoo lord I've seen some tension here. I say this as technically a veteran fan (good lord it's been years bro i feel old LOOOl)

It happened to me once that I left a comment (another fandom) and since then I never recovered, I'm a ghost doing my best to keep my interactions with old CRP content as minimal as possible.

People include Mary because she's Jane's wife, and it feels wrong to cut her out. But Christ Almighty, please make her more interesting.

Mary in the original MadamBlackWolf canon is not interesting. She is the opposite of interesting. She is there to be Jane's wife and nothing else. Her personality traits include little else outside of "being nice" and "being Jane's wife." She adds nothing to the narrative. She influences nothing. She does nothing. She is not a character. She is a prop used to further Jane's character.

That's not to say she can't be interesting, but something peculiar that I've noticed is that, even if everyone is rushing to include her in their AUs, nobody wants to put in the actual work to make her worth including. Mary is Jane's wife. That's all she is, and that's all she will ever be. There's no development, there's no interesting ideas, there's no reason for her to exist. She exists because she's Jane's wife.

I don't want to cut Mary out of everyone's stories and AUs, but just... please do something more with her. She can be interesting if people just put more effort into her instead of just making her Jane's token wife. Give her more personality, more backstory, more motivation, make her an active participant in the story. Make her do something, anything, other than just being Jane's boring, bland, no-personality wife. Make her fiercely independent! Make her standoffish! Make her highly intelligent! Make her evil! Make her devoted! Just...do something! And if you seriously can't think of anything...cut her out. She's taking up space, and if she doesn't need to be there, get her out of there.

I don't think it's fair for him as a character at all and it's kinda, Mildly insulting especially he has like yk a few disabilities ((aka it's alittle ableist))
