She laughed at her shocked friend, knowing that he was clueless of his popularity at school. The girls only confronted Yuri, since they didn’t want to look like creepers but wanted to know the details of the boy. And she never really told him, knowing that it would demolish the secretive actions of the girls. Her integrity allowed her to tell this time around though, with the given fact that her friend certainly need something to cheer him up. “Yes you did sweetheart. I’m not the only one that appreciates your pretty face.” she said, her tone a bit on the joking end, but she meant every word. 

He blinked in surprise, his lips parting slightly in disbelief as he stuttered quietly, a soft blush spreading across his face as he smiled shyly at the blankets, not quite meeting her eyes in his shyness and surprise at learning about his "secret fanbase." He made a face at her words before he grinned, the expression wide in a thin face, "Pretty face? You've admitted the truth at last!" His voice was teasing but his expression was shy as he quickly hid his face in his hands with a shy chuckle.

After receiving his texts about going to class, she sent a quick “okay ttyl” to him before allowing herself to blissfully return to the world of dreams. ( Or in her case, peaceful darkness. ) The buzzing on her bed woke her up and it took her a second to realize that she had fallen asleep again. Rubbing at her eyes, Suji quickly typed a reply. 

He sighed at his phone with a soft expression — why hadn’t she told him earlier? Tapping out a quick reply, he sent it off before turning his attention back to the professor. He’d have to be sure to take good notes today. Maybe he should visit her later, too?

Blinking blearily at her phone, she closed her eyes as she waited for a reply, almost drifting off again but the loud buzzing of the text messages being received shocked her out of it. Yeah, she definitely wasn’t going to class that day. Thank God she had people in all of her classes that she could ask for notes from. 

He shook his head at her reply before the third text message made him burst into laughter, dropping his phone, where it slid over his pillow and nearly fell past the headboard, causing him to cry out in panic and scramble for it. He was grateful that Yoona had already left for class and thus he didn’t have to worry about waking her up.

Rolling onto her side, she bunched her blankets up slightly before tucking them under her chin, eyes on her phone. She really didn’t feel like going to class today … maybe she would just stay home and sketch. Or watch a movie. (She would probably end up watching a movie.)

He chuckled softly despite having been woken from sleep, rolling over and burying his nose in his pillows before typing back a short message with a yawn. He really didn’t want to get up for class, but he had to. (Well, that, and he had class with her later and as much as he didn’t want to admit it, he was starting to really like the time they spent together.) 

"Hongbin-ah! Don’t say things like that. You know that I’ll always love you." Even when you’re gone… Is what she thought right after when she let the statement slipped off her lips and regretted for even thinking about it. She didn’t want to let the only thing she could call so precious to her go so quickly and vanish just like that. Sometimes at night, and although she never admitted it to Hongbin, she would intently stare at her ceiling and think about her life without her brother. Of course they weren’t good outcomes and it would usually lead to her pillow becoming filled with salty moisture and those aren’t these thoughts to think about when the male was presented right in front of her.

He smiled at her slightly and reached for her hand, squeezing it gently, his wrists thin but covered now as the navy sweater engulfed his thin frame, covering too skinny limbs. With a yawn, he stretched slightly, arms coming up to stretch and reach around his sister with a tight hug in return as he sighed quietly, his shivers finally stilled with the addition of his sweater over his pajamas. He stayed in the hospital so often that he was allowed to wear pajamas, his own clothing, and personalize his hospital room. It wasn't a good thing, per say, but it was one perk that he had managed to find in the darkness. The silver lining on the dark cloud.

She had fallen asleep whilst waiting for his reply, much too comfortable on her bed to have really done anything besides that and it was with a jolt that Suji woke up the next morning to the sunlight streaming through her windows. Shit, she thought, scrambling for her phone to check for the messages.

He’d waited up a while for her reply, but after about fifteen minutes, it became clear that she had fallen asleep. Not that he blamed her for it, it was late after all. Setting his phone down, he allowed himself to drift off to sleep, only to wake to the buzzing of his phone the next morning. 

[ ✉ text to → bra boy ] omg you know what you are?? squishy. your new name is squishy and i shall refer to you as so because cute.  but i’m not going to bash her brain to mush!! just a couple of thwacks on the head and one on the side for good measure and she’ll be fine ~

[ text ; sorority nuna ] i'm -- okay, i'm squishy. is that a reference to finding nemo? okay, okay, fine, i guess ;;;; i hope she'll be okay haha! now i need a name for you... 

She leaned forward a bit to make sure the book she had pushed to the ground hadn’t fallen open when it landed, letting out a little sigh of relief when it had landed perfectly on its back, the cover still closed. Rolling onto her stomach, Suji tucked the pillow under her arms as she rested on her elbows to text him back.

He yawned, reaching for a throw blanket and flinging it over his legs, leaning back against his pillows contentedly, his glasses slightly askew on his face as he peered at his phone when it buzzed. Studying was way too exhausting, he decided with a soft huff.
