I often rush things but I took things slow with this. My recreation of Fulfilment by Gustav Klimt. I love the symbolism of the shapes. Boxes are masculinity and circles are femininity. I love that they're mixed together within an embrace, between two lovers. This represents myself and my love, my partner, the one who always encourages me and pumps me with positivity when I am down. He helps me back up and helps me see the light when everything is so dark. And those tight hugs, the embrace just makes everything feel like it's melted away. Something I doodled a long time ago around Magical March 2018, I was thinking of different ideas on how I could draw Lucy from Elfen Lied as a magical girl. Sorry I haven't posted in a while. After the whole incident where my phone and bank were compromised, I kinda fell down an even deeper rabbit hole in which I wasn't motivated for anything. Starting a piece from scratch was daunting. Inktober wasn't triggering my interest. I lost interest in it, but I felt like my communication was also severed because I wasn't drawing anymore. I wanted to continue Inktober, but I also had a lot of pent up feelings I wanted to address through art, but felt guilty for not doing so because I felt my obligation to inktober was a priority? I don't know why that was. I found this piece that was almost finished, just needed colour and a bit more ink. I can't remember what I was thinking about when I started, but it felt like it made sense for my current situation. Not romantic love heartbreak. I think it's the kind of heartbreak you feel when you survived so long carrying your burdens that you're finally trying to break free from. It's liberating, but it takes a lot from you as it goes.
