tattlecrime has blown up following the hit tell-all book freddie and chilton wrote on his experience with will and hannibal. the first episode just follows freddie going about her day, managing her 26 different murder husband informants around the globe before she is contacted by none other than clarice starling, the brand new director of the bsu after a long line of interim chiefs following jacks forced retirement

the bsu has been watching freddie for a while and has realized that no one else has been able to get as close to will and hannibal as she is. they bring her in, zeller and price are there, obviously, as well as the new fiber and hair analysis specialist.

clarice is desperate to close this case and prove herself worthy of her title. she basically drafts freddie into the squad and she accepts in return for exclusive crime scene photos and accurate profiles for tattlecrime. clarice also makes the extremely controversial decision to bring jack (who has been trying to hunt hannibal down on his own all these years and is widely considered to be a loose cannon at this point) out of retirement and back onto the squad as a "special investigator" (like will once was)

the episode focuses entirely on the gathering of the new bsu team. only at the end of the episode does it zoom in on clarice--saying something cryptic and vaguely horrifying--as the camera pans over and transitions in a very artsy hannibalesque way to a dinner party at will and hannibals home.

As a former music teacher, I can also say that "learn the fundamentals first" is the death knell for a vast percentage of beginners, especially adult learners.

I've run into this with drawing several times, where some well-meaning artist has lectured me on needing to study anatomy properly or not use shortcuts like CSP brushes. And oh, believe me, I know. I know exactly how to learn an artistic discipline in a structured way. I just...don't want to!

The thing is, I'm not aiming to be a professional artist. I want to draw my gay little anime guys. I would undoubtedly improve at art much faster if I approached every gay little anime guy drawing as a study exercise. But I would also have quit drawing a decade ago if I couldn't just let myself enjoy drawing imperfect fucked-up little guys with whatever shortcuts I needed to body myself across the finish line.

With my adult piano students, my approach was always "What's your goal?" If their goal was to learn exactly one Elton John songbook to play at parties, then...that's what we did. We'd put tape on the keys to label the notes, and just fuckin go for it. Learning exactly one Elton John songbook is a good and noble musical goal, full stop.

Some of my students needed and enjoyed a more structured approach to learning; if they wanted to be able to play classical music, then yes, scales were going to have to enter the equation at some point. And yet others would learn the Elton John songbook, catch their white whale, and realize they wanted to explore more of the ocean. The scales were still there for them to learn!

Often the choice isn't between "learn art well" and "learn art imperfectly" - the choice is between "learn art imperfectly" and "don't do art at all." To which I say, learn imperfectly! Or, what the hell, don't 'learn' art. Just do, and enjoy the doing of it.

Base Game Addon, Part 4

Hello! ✨ My (second) biggest addon ever is now available!

While this set focuses on expanding various build mode categories, there's also a couple of buy mode additions as well!

I've added three new fence sets converted over from debug, complete with matching gates, as well as some additional foundation options. For something different, I also converted some brick & wooden flooring options into terrain paints. As weird as it sounds to have wood terrain paints, they can be used to create some nice effects! There's also a new "floating" staircase available, which looks very sleek in any modern home!

As for the buy mode additions, one thing that has always bugged me was how there's a couple of bar-height dining tables in a few packs, but none in base game... I have fixed this issue, and have created bar-height tables for practically every table set in base game!

Additionally, two-tile and one-tile wide options have been created for the dining table that was included in a past event. Event completion is not required for them to function. I also decided to include an edited version of the base game outdoor spa that no longer has the roof attached to it, making it more versatile. (I was never really a fan of that roof)
