i also feel like i’m in the twilight zone looking at the discourse around ariana grande rn… the VAST majority of people i see expressing concern are doing so in a stern but respectful manner, with maybe one genuinely shitty person making fun of her sprinkled in there. i have no fucking idea how this is getting spun to be “everyone’s hating on ariana grande” by fans, unless they are being served a vastly different array of comments compared to me.
no, people are not hating on ariana grande right now. they are scared for her. anorexia is fucking deadly, and it’s pretty fucking clear that’s what she’s dealing with right now. she should not be in the public eye with this; she should be stepping back and getting the help she needs (which, thankfully, it seems like she’s going to be doing based on the news i’ve seen today).
if you genuinely think that people saying stuff like this is disrespectful hate, you need to take a deep look at yourself and reevaluate your own values. if you actually cared about this person who you seem to idolize, you would want her to be getting help right now.
