The Boy & The Pharaoh

His Millennium Ring gave a strong glow, sucking out every light around them. It worked almost like a trap for those worth of Bakura’s time. He did not expect to run into the puzzle of all items but now that he had it right before him there was no reason letting him escape so quickly. 

"This isn’t good," Joey said as he saw the lgihts dim. "Tell me this is one of Kaiba’s virtual games and not the Shadow Realm again…"

"… do you have a knife under there or what is the sense of this?" He asked, neutrally, blinking just a bit in confusion. Did the midget really try to take him out so… unimaginatively?

❝—but I’d still love to see.❞

"Well I am the Black Magician’s number one pupil!” She exclaimed, arrogance complimenting her emerald orbs as she pointed at herself quite quite proudly. This achievement never fails to bring a smile on her face, clearly. Regardless, proud moment’s aside the recollection of the sudden neglect remained. A light frown was made, arms crossed , while she continued to levitate in place. “Well I know you’ve been busy but, that doesn’t mean you can’t visit us every once in awhile you know.”

Dark Magician held his breath as he noticed the boy after the Pharoah moved towards him. He would had join the other if he had a tangible form, but atlas, being a spirit prevented him from doing a lot of things. He remembered how to breathe only after the dice were taken away. “Good move.” He nodded in approval of the dice’s new place. “I may have the knowledge, but I am not sure if I can do it from this side. Do you think you can? I can provide how, if needed.” 

He sat the bag of dice on the desk and stepped back. "Even if we do fix this little mess, we should find out why these were here and who did it."

"Well… I’ve been traveling the past few years, getting my Dueling spirit back and just having some time for myself." And it really helped her; she was able to find her spark in Duel Monsters and was back to being herself again.

"Of course not. I was making a suggestion that might be in your best interest to keep." She hissed, looking them in the eyes. Odion put a hand on her shoulder, a reminder that punching people in the face is frowned upon and considered unacceptable in society.

           “Should you not be studying Yugi?”

Yugi took what Atem said seriously. "Oh, yes, I was wondering exactly what it was called. How can you do that?"

Pulling his laptop from his briefcase, Kaiba angled the screen so the other could see. “Like Battle City, every duelist attempting to register will have a star ranking—that ranking will have to be synced with their duel disk. Duelists in the 1 and 2 star devisions aren’t subject to the sacrifice rules from Battle City and have caps on the number of seven and eight star monsters allowed in their decks. 3 and 4 star duelists must sacrifice in accordance with Battle City rules, have no monster limitations, and will be dueling with slightly more powerful holograms. The 5 star duelists will have the same settings as the 3 and 4 stars, but their holograms will be the most realistic—a serious attack has the potential to cause real physical damage.”

"I see..." Yugi frowned. "Physical damage?" That sounded dangerous. He and Kaiba both had dealt with physical harm during their crazy adventures - although Kaiba brushed it off as a fantasy at the time. "What kind of physical damage?" He may have to put a warning on the papers the contestants would receive.
