I've Had This Nightmare Before(And I Know How it Ends)(Nehemiah||Xaais)
Nehemiah kept himself straight and stiff, looking down at Xaais. The knit of his brow deepened the shadows already crossing his face, making it apparent her statement of it not hurting making it worse not better.
“And why, exactly, are you doing as such?” His gaze focused on her once again as he spoke; icy and unyielding. “Can’t imagine what would be good about my dreams.”
He did not think that would drive her off, but let it be so. The more he knew, the more he would have to combat her or anything like her off next time. Of course, that meant actually getting her to speak openly… something he was not great at. Socializing with…a demon or something.
Great. Smart move, Nehemiah. Let’s see how long before you end up making yourself a vegetable. Who knows, maybe carrying on talking to yourself will make her think you’re crazy and scare her off.
" I'm starving, so anything would do. I can't be picky when it comes to life or death. I don't want to be sent back to the darkness because I starved myself. " She tilted her head to the side, letting the setting around them turn to something warm, a large, pastel pink room with a dining set and a bed. Xaais hopped up onto the bed and soon her form shifted, changing until she became a completely different person.
Her hair was longer, a teal color, and her eyes were a bright ocean blue. Her form was older too, maybe in her 20's, and her smile was pale but radiant. " Don't be so scared, it's not like I'm going to make you wet the bed or something. "
