the whole "insulting someone based on their appearance is bad because it could indirectly hurt people you like who share that feature" is a good start for unlearning body shaming but i do think we need to go further and remind people that even if there was some physical trait that was magically 10000% exclusive to conservatives and creeps and nobody else ever had it, we still shouldnt be insulting them based on that. because the problem with them is not their appearance its their ideology and actions. by insulting their appearance you arent just indirectly insulting others who look like that, youre literally not making the correct point. stay on topic ya know.

I'm incredibly sorry for this social faux pas, I was not aware of your issues with this. I genuinely love Boy, have done so since the very start and never meant to simply objectify him - that goes against my values as I have been writing about Synthetic and human autonomy for almost two years now. I relate and feel for Boy as someone who is Neurodivergent and faced similar early childhood trauma. I feel so silly writing this but I really, really care for him and feel his need to be seen as a person and not just as a figure. Personhood and self-determination are of utmost importance to me, even if I also want to kiss him. Once again, I'm terribly sorry that this came across in a negative way and that I made you uncomfortable, it wasn't my intention.

And another thing, the way Atom handled the situation with Nibs still fascinates me to this day. He didn’t confer with Boy before making the decision to wipe the trauma from her memory. Meaning he was likely trying to protect him from something.

The scene where Boy and Curly are talking 1on1 actually weirdly brings me comfort, because I can read that man’s body language and he seemed genuinely happy and sweet. It’s like I saw the little traumatized kid peeking through and smiling, it makes me both happy and sad.
