A little wedding card for an old friend of mine, Noodle! . . We've known each since middle school in Taiwan. We used to be enemies when her family first moved into our apartment building one summer, and we'd have swimming wars in the pool. I remember on the first day of middle school orientation, I saw her again in my classroom. I thought she looked familiar but wasn't sure if she was the same girl that we met at the pool, since we'd always swim during the night time. When it was time to go home, we walked home in the same direction, entered the same building and took the same elevator. Ever since then, we became best friends. She used to come pick me up for school in the morning, I was late all the time, but she always had the biggest patience for me. . After my family moved back to the US, we've been living in separate continents for the past decade+. Whenever I go back to visit, we'd always try to spend as much time together as we can. On days when we have nothing planned, we'd hop on the first bus that comes our way and stay on it for half an hour then get off and see where we'd end up at. That was always one of my favorite games together. . I am very grateful to have a friend like her, and that we'd kept in touch by writing each other everyday for the past 10 years. Even though we're far apart, I know we'll always be there for each other when needed. .
