you must have been so lonely

I think the worst thing The Expanse did was not have Serge talk to Naomi or work with her in any way when the two of them were stuck on the Pella together. It was an extremely missed opportunity, not to mention Serge's character and his role in the polyam belter fam was so underdeveloped that him having some kind of relationship with Naomi would have really helped to solidify how he and Camina really were family and that they loved each other. As it stands because they didn't do enough to develop his character and the relationship between the polyam belter fam his death and the subsequent break up of the family that followed it wasn't as impactful as it should have been and the show missed a real opportunity by not creating some kind of allyship between him and Naomi. I know that the reasoning was probably so Naomi would have no other options, but to escape through the airlock, but that could have still easily been the only escape route for her, Serge could have even been the one to slip her the oxygenated blood to aid in her escape. I just think the way they made Serge's character was antithesis to a person that Camina would love and that would love her back and it is probably the worst writing decision they made in a show where the writing is one of the best things about it
