Straight Outta Fucks...

Our post doesn't have a lot of traction. So I figured I'd make this explaining what we are trying to raise money for.

Hubby starts a school program that will give him the qualifications needed to continue working in our sector (and get a job here). It's going to be 6 months all together and it starts beginning of July. The program is paid for but he needs help getting everything else. (We have some materials because of when I went to school for the full program and the years I've worked in the field since, he worked with me for 3 of those 6 years.)

We have been behind on everything as we try to rise up from our devastating loss last year. We were technically homeless, with our temp accommodations constantly under threat when we had to leave our home.

It's been a year and some things are better (I've got 2000 miles between me and the garbage that put us in this situation)

So right now we are trying to just focus on immediate needs while putting everything else to the back burner for now. I'm hoping by end of July I will have secured employment now that I have my first aid and cpr. 🙏

Right now our needs are as follows

1. ID and a police check for xander- $100

2. Transportation funds- $50

3. Phone bill- $180 (minimum to keep them on)

4. Food, pet food and hay- $200

5. Utilities and Internet- $140

Our aim of $400 was at least gonna allow us to put some out though as you see our needs is much more than $400.

This is where we ask you for any help. We are desperate and in need. Especially for the ID, food, and hay for our guinea pigs ATM.

Half way there to have July covered as we continue doing what we can.

We saved enough to be able to make a trip out to get a hay bale for the guinea pigs as pet store hay is ridiculously priced for so little. That uses up pretty much whatever is left (hay bales are $16 here and we have to pay for some gas to get out there but the hay will last us at min. 4 months veruses a 90oz bag lasting us 2-3 weeks at $30 a bag fml.)

We are watching the beginnings of the handmaid's tale and while I may be Canadian, there are enough people here who are still trying to make that a reality here.

I'm especially worried for my husband during these times as anti trans rhetoric continues to ramp up even here. I know his rights especially have been targeted by right wing parties and it's crazy how much support they seem to be gaining. Please hug your important people and make sure you are no longer quiet about issues like this. We need to stop just moving on to the next trending event while forgetting the previous one, it's still very much there

We are trying to get through our local foodbank but was told this week it's gonna be at least 2 weeks until we can be helped (and I'm not feeling optimistic on it being a lot if they are this overrun)
