We got home before the storm really hit. Grace decided to dart out the door right after we got in and go for an adventure (I don't think @benberryf has ever seen me run that fast before). We got everyone back inside and settled in the living room with about 10 minutes to spare before the weather really hit. Grace is terrified of loud noises, so she took up her usual position — wedged between B or I and th back of the chair. She's panting and anxiety-farting, and Dami joined the party to stare at the wall. County Fair week working at a small-town newspaper is a marathon of work, but some assignments aren't too bad. I got to photograph the Horse Pull competition event. These gentle giants were awe-inspiring. They were genuinely excited about their work, dancing in place while waiting to be hooked to the sled (and at times even taking off before they were secure). Two-horse teams were, at the end of the heavyweight class, pulling 10,650 lbs.
