anyway Jay chose revenge on David over getting back at the Death Riders who literally took him out for a year and a half. Jay choosing revenge on David over anything else. that he gets his BBG with him. that even after leaving NJPW he was more Bullet Club than David ever was. that David had to make new friends and allies when Jay and Juice left him and Jay did the same thing as David (getting younger wrestlers under his wing so to speak) but unlike David, Jay's faction is still loyal to him and not splintered even though Jay was out for like a year and some change. and that Jay never responded to any of David's taunts in NJPW. that Jay knew David would come to him in the end and chase him. and David did because he's been doing nothing but try to be like Jay. and he can't. because Jay is the OG. the blueprint. and now David vaguely being allies with the DR && going after one of the wrestlers who helped him out genuinely in AEW without much abrasion or arguments. and now David's going to need the DR to help him. and the pins are set up. and Jay White's lining up a strike baby.
