Added ability to define how many times a url shows before it rotates to the next URL

Just as it sounds. When working with a masked link w now have the option to define how many times we show a link before the rotation kicks in and cycles to the next link.

EG: http://www.mysite.com/go/controlled-rotation if setup to rotate every 5 titmes

would go to

Site A 5 times -> Site B 5 times -> Site C 5 times

and then start over (if we only had 3 links in the rotation pool)

In order to prevent direct access traffic from redirecting and allow traffic with referrers to redirect we can place ‘http’ into the ‘Rediect Keywords’ input area while defining a redirect profile:

Iframe the Redirection Target

WP Traffic Tools provides the ability to iframe a redirect destination in the same page that the redirect condition is placed on. This, if enabled, will retain the original page’s URL in the address bar while displaying the final destination in the post body content.

An important note: Some website’s cookies will not load properly when the site is loaded in an iframe. Double check if you are working with affiliate URLs! To get around this issue you may can use a WPTT’s cookie module to manually stuff the cookie of the affiliate URL on the same page the redirect is occuring. I’ve not tested this though.

Video demonstrates WP Traffic Tool’s redirection module and it’s ability to iframe the destination inside the doorway page while retaining the original referring traffic source as the referrer.

Hey Guys,

In this latest update we can use 1 negative keyword to redirect all traffic that arrives from urls not containing a certain keyword.

For example, if we wanted to redirect all traffic that arrives outside of google and keep google traffic arriving at the original destination we would use ‘!google’ as our keyword:

Hey Guys,

So you are looking for a link cloaking plugin? Or maybe you are wondering why people cloak links?

Did you know that some people say they are looking for a cloaking plugin when they really are simply wanting a link masking plugin.

What’s the difference between masking and cloaking? It’s simple! Masking changes the URL structure and leverages redirect technologies to send the user elsewhere. Like a shortened link! Goog.gl and Bit.ly and T.co for twitter all employ link masking techniques.

And other times developers have to worry about the heartless algorithms of search engines not being favorable to their site if their site is an affiliate-sales effort.
