6 mos. Wow. Didnt think I'd get this far tbh. But it feels good.

Lots to think about but for now im going to stop and just smell the roses.

From starting my program 2 years ago until now where there are only a few months left until all of this ends, I realised that good people are really hard to come by. Intelligent and smart people are pretty common in this field and I wonder why there aren’t more good people among these so-called “elite” or elite wannabes. 

I came across this article today saying how psychological safety is one of the main things that is essential for a team’s success but I argue that it is important in any kind of setting. To be a kind and good person is just so rare nowadays that it is insane how blinded our society can be. Admiring and celebrating those who are smart and intelligent people regardless of their character and nature.

The Miracle of Crybaby Shottan (2018)

8/10  I haven’t seen a J-movie in a long time and it’s so refreshing to see this film on the plane on my way back to Toronto. A lot of films have featured shogi or chess but the way this story unfolds about Shottan’s passion for the game and also how he was able to bypass traditional rules about becoming professional in the field is, like the title suggests, a miracle. 

The rainy yet cloudy weather here in Reykjavik describes my mood for today really well. Walked 20k steps around the city in the rain. It has been almost 10 months but sometimes things do not work out the way you want them to. Nevertheless I learned a lot during this time and looking forward to a new future.
