The Museum Of Witchcraft And Magic, Boscastle, Cornwall. This museum is easily worth a pilgrimage if your in anyway interested in the Occult, Magic, Wicca or you just want to look at sic effigies found in caves, stuff found around England. Driving through the windy roads down to Boscastle is a spectacle in itself, overhanging trees and dark narrow roads guide you towards the village.
Once you've found your way into the museum one of the first things you will come across is a taxidermy fox with a wax death mask on its face. According to victorian folklore having a death mask of yourself put on a animal will ensure you are reincarnated as that animal, it's a curious object for sure.
Another of the museums darker exhibits is a 7ft mannequin dressed in a green robe with a goat mask known as ‘the horned god’, which in between its horns sits a candle. Candles can represent a lot of things in occult practice but it also looks badass. This goat mask was used for ceremonial purposes and looks very styled towards an as above so below Baphomet.
The last couple of curio pieces id like to talk about are the wooden chest and candle with sigil, both these items came from a summoning room. The chest itself is a piece of art with carefully carved gargoyles and demons, even without the backstory its a boss piece. If your into our brand you'll most likely be very into this place, I didn't even mention the siamese piglet so you'll have to go and see that for yourself.
