Things have been tough...

For most people, and I’m one of those. My rent has gone up, my alternator in the car has died (I can’t even focus on that yet, sigh), and this has been on a chain of setbacks and illnesses both with myself and my family. Energy and food prices… it all piles up.

On top of this, my depression (and covid fog probably) has been extra rough, keeping my freelance work slow.

Maha has been hospitalized due to serious complications from an infected tooth. She is particularly vulnerable to this type of infection, which almost killed her last year. Thankfully her husband has returned from Egypt, but both he and Maha are unable to work and thus cannot pay for her hospital bills. They are over $1,500 usd in debt for her treatment and Maha is about to be kicked out of the hospital.

As I said, last year a very similar infection almost took Maha’s life. If she is expelled from the hospital, a worsened infection is an inevitability. She still has a high fever and needs to remain hospitalized. PLEASE help her continue life-saving treatment!!

A few weeks ago, I asked for help to reach my first goal: securing admission to a Master's program.

Ive been bad abt updating sorry. Ive been sick since last Friday and early early this morning it took a bad turn and I had to go to the emergency room bc I couldn't breathe. Now I have to use a damn inhaler 😭😭😭😭 another prescription im gonna have to fill. And they said I NEED to see my gastro sooner rather than later.
