I'm thinking the dark world within the shelter is the one from castle town. You're gonna get in there and travel north east and get behind the locked door in ralsei's castle, from underneath. Could be that there is another entrance to it under the lake as well, but I do like the interpretation that noelle is breaking out of the game's rules rather than going to a physical location. IDK
