The 13th annual international gender census, collecting information about the language we use to refer to ourselves and each other, is now open until 13th August 2026.

It’s short and easy, for most participants it takes 5 minutes or less.

After the survey is closed I’ll process the results and publish a spreadsheet of the data and a report summarising the main findings. Then anyone can use them for academic or business purposes, self-advocacy, tracking the popularity of language over time, and just feeling like we’re part of a huge and diverse community.

I (25M) told my friend (23F) that we were going to a gas station, but I didn't tell her why, and when we got there, I surprised her with gas station sushi for dinner (on me of course), but there ended up being a roofie inside of our gas station sushi (that's the biggest reason why IMBTA) and it caused us to black out and wake up in a sewer, where we were surrounded by fish (horny fish) and lets justr say... FISH, but the stench drew in a bear, so thinking quickly, we decided to fight it: a bear fight, bare handed, bare naked, (dont ask) but we befriended the bear after we beat it in a brawl, then we rode it into a Chuck-E-Cheese: Dance Dance Revolution, (Hell yeah!) but then I was like "revolution? overthrow the government? uhhh I think so-" and next thing we know I was reincarnated as jesus christ, then I turned into a jet, flied into the sun, blacked out again, woke up, did a bump, whited out, which I didn't know you could do, then I smoked a joint, greened out, then I turned into the sun, but it looked like the meth was kicking in because I started panicking and screaming before hooting like a monkey.
