I love Spencer for his genius autism but when I really canāt do my assignments I do understand why some autistic people dislike him as rep because of his iq. I do think that media subconsciously chooses to only represent autistic people if they have an overwhelming positive that can be used to look over the autism. I suppose my point is, I wonder if Spencer did struggle with school at all. I mean we know he got moved up multiple grades but incredible intelligence does not equal good performance in a public school. Maybe because of his age he got more help than other people to help him adapt to stuff. His ability to overcome autistic inertia and executive dysfunction baffles me (mostly because he doesnāt. Itās not a part of autism that gets talked about much because itās hard for neurotypical people to understand) Iām very jealous
