Sponge is a fun word. Fun to say. It sounds very absorptive. The word can hold a good amount of water. As much as a sponge could.

KABOOM!

Good onomatopoeia. Fun and satisfying. Kaboom. Not much else to say; pretty cut and dry. Good word.

Persnickety. Sounds accurate to the definition; if you describe someone as persnickety, I know exactly what you mean. Good to say, too. Not quite on the list of the best words, but a very good one. I like it a lot. It's one my list of favorites.

Sounds pretty dumb though. As an impression of just the word itself, without knowing the meaning? It's a nothing word. People will say it and it means nothing. And my opinion is unlikely to change once I find out what it means.

Accurate word. Seriously. You look at someone flamboyant and think 'that person's flamboyant' even before you know what it's the correct word.

Don't have a lot of thoughts on it. The word isn't particularly pleasant to say, but not too unpleasant.
