Hi! I'm here to give a quick review on a Dramione fanfiction i read from ao3 (this will probably end up being a rant post... sorry)

OKAY. It's been so long since i've read some angsty dramione fics so i was really hurt by the ending. Ngl, i was expecting Hermione to regain her memories because in no way does she deserve to slowly forget everything because of a fricking duel. It irks to think about how easily Ron and Harry gave up on their best friend. Bro, imagine all the things she's done for the two and they just deliberately turn their backs on her because they couldn't handle her condition? Bullcrap. I get that it's frustrating but Draco was able to step up and stay with her until the end. A former enemy has done far more for her than her so-called friends ever did.

The other characters were no better, too. The bullying was angering and sad. They made it seem like it was her fault that she got obliviated. I really don't understand why they were berrating Hermoine instead of Theo. Are their brains switched off or something? LMAO. I expected a lot more from Gryffindors but the scene where she kept forgetting the house password and then desperately begged others for it was vile and sick. No one, not one, showed her mercy and sympathy and it broke my heart.

When Draco finally came into the picture, I was extremely hopeful about Hermione's recovery. I thought he would be the answer, or would at least look for the answer/cure. But instead, he served as the driving force behing her determination providing the strength she needed to keep believing and hoping, even when it felt impossible.

I think I was as scared as Draco when Hermione finally stopped writing. It's incredibly painful to watch someone you have learned to care for slowly lose a piece of themself, especially when you see it happening right before your eyes. Draco was truly strong for holding it in for Hermione because if it were me, I would have lost it.

Hermione asking how to write Draco's name was punch in the gut. But when she lost all her memories, except for one small piece of her remembering Draco? CRUEL.

AAAA please read the story guys. I view it as a fanfiction portrayal of what it’s like to lose someone to dementia/alzheimer's. It offers a solid representation of the condition, though I do think the bullying aspect feels a bit exaggerated (because i don't think people could be that evil in such situations).
