Woman of the Wave

The eclipse has peaked and I sit here feeling different. Not new, not old, different. An unfamiliar warmth washes over my entire being. I feel as if the tree roots in the dirt beneath my feet are feeding energy through my toes and its flooding through out my whole body. I sit here on these porch steps and realize something. I realize that my body is just a shell. A vessel. It’s the shell of my most important self, my soul. With this new day, this new year, this new lifetime… I vow to be good to myself. To the earth. To the animals who inhabit this earth. To my loved ones who stay with me in my heart–always. I vow to put positive energy out in the universe as Mother Nature is supplying me with in this very moment. I feel her warmth, her love, her tranquility. I feel restored. I feel peace. And I feel love. I look around and I see many things. I see vitality, hope, friendship, nature, love, peace, and pure and constant easiness. Easiness in the way two women can sit under an umbrella telling stories looking out on a pasture. Easiness in the way that I turn slightly to the right and see the love of my life shuffling in his sleep on the bed on the porch ( dreaming of random things, no doubt ). Easiness of the little spotted puppy laying before me on the cool shaded sidewalk of this blistering-hot summer day. Easiness of the dragonfly that just fluttered by probably singing a song in its head while it dances in the wind. Easiness as the horses all have a constant flow of energy and understanding of another as they graze in the pasture. Easiness as sitting on a wrap-a-round porch at sunset with a glass of wine and some reggae music. The world is easy. The world is beautiful. The world shouldn’t and will not always be easy and beautiful. But. That is what makes you appreciate it. So, appreciate the easiness and the beautiful times. But also learn to appreciate the hardships and the moments of growth because..
