So last night I was listening to Come Again from Laika Come Home (the Gorillaz remix album) and it seriously sounds like video game music especially around 1:17.  It could be the background music from a scene inside one of those virtual shops where you stock up on items, etc.

So what do I do when I hear game-like music?  I start dreaming up a fantasy video game featuring all the Gorillaz characters, of course!  I’m not exactly sure what type of video game it would be - whether it’d be an RPG, music based game, or some type of dating simulator - but all I know is that I’d play the shit out of it if it were to exist.

So picture this while you play the song Come Again: imagine a Gorillaz video-game where you’re playing as 2D and you walk into a weird little shop which - lo and behold - Ace is managing.  Ace should be one of those characters that just nonsensically appears everywhere in the game because he can’t hold a job or something along those lines.

He tries to sell you an assortment of stupid items: expendable eyes for 2D in order to give him better precision or accuracy, soap to ward off the Boogieman who apparently smells horrid, a slushy that can give you temporary ice powers (it’s an Ace reference), a katana for Noodle to slay her enemies, an upside down cross for Murdoc to use on Russel to summon Del when the situation calls for it, a cigarette which ironically boosts energy for a short period of time, but takes a toll on health in the long run (I didn’t say this game would be rated G), a Gorillaz album or t-shirt for 50% or 100% ego boost (especially for Murdoc who doesn’t function well without it), and pizza…because who doesn’t get hungry (it also seems to be a prominent symbol in Saturnz Barz)?
