I realized a bit ago that there's a reason Lois Lane typically wears purple. Look at most versions of her character. Superman: All Star, Superman (2025), Superman TAS, the comics, the older animated stuff, etc. Even in Teri Hatcher's portrayal, they have her in a purple outfit once or twice. Lois is typically portrayed as wearing purple or HAVING a purple outfit at some point.

At first, I thought this was just a character consistency like, "Oh, Perry White is old, Lex Luthor is bald, Kara is blonde," etc. I didn't think it was anything to really think about initially. But then I realized something.

What colors make purple? Blue and red.

Who wears blue and red? Superman.

And who is Lois Lane often the love interest of? Superman.

The reason Lois often wears purple is because she is literally wearing the mixture of her hubby's signature colors. It's a consistent theme with her design because Lois being Superman's true love is also consistent with her character.

Even if she doesn't wear it often in the media she is placed, purple is a color consistently given to Lois because it is legit the product of blue and red mixing together---representing how Lois tethers both sides of Clark regarding him as both human and Kryptonian. Sure, we could argue that not ALL versions of Lois wear purple, and I'd agree with you. But Lois wearing purple is a common enough occurence within DC Comics for me to not NOT ponder it further.

I feel slightly embarassed it took me this long to figure out, but I do think it's very interesting just how much detail goes into these characters we know and love, and how often subliminal messaging is being added in that we don't consciously realize.

it was the most Len Leo ever was. Just harsh but at the same time caring

Leo was not afraid to call out Barry and make him see reason just like his doppelganger which is what i think made Barry snap out of it, the fact that he could hear Len speaking not Leo

what i also love about this dialogue is imagining barry didn't only need help grieving and getting over ralph. i believe he needed help grieving his leonard snart too. at this point, it's been less than one season since he last saw len (infantino street), the equivalent to less than a year in-universe. due to barry not having a single moment to breathe between saving iris, defeating savitar, being trapped in the speed force, and working against devoe, it's easy to see him simply feeling like there's no time to grieve. iris mentioning snart in their therapy session makes this even more clear. barry must have suppressed his conflicted feelings around it, shoving it down for some other time.

Now we can have a family. I didn't even realize I wanted one this badly until now.
