Len is there on a hockey scholarship that just barely covers his tuition, and he's supporting Lisa at the same time, so he works odd jobs around campus and sleeps approximately thirteen minutes a day. Barry finds him conked out over his engineering textbooks in the library and can't bring himself to wake him up, so he gets Lisa (who was reading books under the table) some cocoa and they watch a movie together.

Despite most of the other students thinking he's just a coasting jock, Len's holding a 3.9 GPA. That .1 is from him missing a test because he had to stay home with Lisa when she had the flu.

It takes them a few months to work up to an actual date, but everyone thinks they've been together for ages already.
