The smile is clear in Tessa's voice, even if her expression isn't. "Oh, bonzer! C'mon, no time to waste, girl! Step into my office, and we can go over some stuff before we get this sorted."
She pulls Mika through the door, shutting it behind her. The room beyond is different than anything Mika's seen so far, a place devoid of the dark chill that permeates Copper 9. It looks like a bedroom in some opulent mansion, with a carved wood bedframe, an assortment of children's toys, a collection of books, and a skull or two. The window displays a clear sky, with the moon hanging overhead. It's quiet here, and maybe even a little warm. If this comes from Uzi, she's never talked about something like this before.
"Don't mind the mess," says Tessa, scooting a shovel to the corner with her boot. "I don't come here very often, honestly. Not many great memories for me here. But it's quiet, so we'll be able to yak a bit without bein' bothered."
Tessa grabs a chair that's a bit too small for her and spins it around, taking a seat in front of Mika. "So! Let's get down to business: Uzi sent you in here to try and fix what got messed up, yeah? Lucky for you, I know just how to do it. The problem is, I don't got permission to fiddle with her files, but that's where you come in! You can lower her firewall, and I can... y'know, do my thing. Easy as! You literally just gotta do one thing! One tiny lil' thing."
Rounding on Mika, she throws an arm around the girl's shoulder. "And Uzi'll be so grateful, I bet. You don't even gotta mention me, you can take all the credit if you want! Not like I can do anythin' with it anyways. Now, let's see how... Ah, here we go."
She heads for the window, popping it open and hopping up onto the sil.
"Sorry, things are a little tricky to navigate 'round here," she says, holding a hand out towards Mika. "But no reason to hang around, right? I mean, my memories are... hah, well! You don't wanna see years of parental abuse, I bet. So let's get goin'!"
