"You do need to be babied." -> He commented and playfully jabbed at his brother's chest with his finger, snorting slightly. He remembers all of the times he'd have to come pick up a drunken Chance from Nothing knows where dealing with Nothing knows who. "Momma and pappa have a reason for continuin' to baby you, Chancey." -> He turned, gesturing for his twin to follow him as he makes his way towards the kitchen. Lance, unlike the rest of the family for some reason, decided to live somewhere colder, more remote, preferring to keep to himself and his own business. -> Lance's house wasn't fancy, it wasn't expensive. Just some cozy little getaway where he'd do his own business on his own terms, where he'd sleep and wake every day. His own little paradise away from the chaos. "I don't know how you take care of that big ol' bunny, Chancey. But I'm glad you give her alla the love and care she needs. You're a good owner to her."

"Momma and pappa worry less about me. And I'm the one who goes out and hunts dangerous wild animals for a living." -> He snorts, going over to the cabinets and rummaging around inside of them, pulling out two big mugs and putting them onto the kitchen counter. "You want some hot cocoa, little man?" -> He glanced over his shoulder, holding up one of the mugs and waving it slightly to get his twin's attention.

"Shoot." -> He said as he placed the mugs down, rummaging around in his cabinets for a few items. He set a pot on the stove, grabbing the milk from the fridge and slowly pouring it into the pot before turning it on. "I'll be honest with ya, Chancey." -> He turned, crossing his arms over his chest and leaning back against the kitchen counter. He had one ear on the boiling milk and one ear on his twin brother's words.

-> He stood there for a moment, taking in his twin's words with careful consideration. Lance, unlike his brother, was USUALLY on their parents' side. He wanted what was best for Chance, he wanted to protect his twin, but the little look on Chance's face, the way the other's voice wabbled. -> It broke his heart. "You've told me plenty 'bout this friend of yours, lucky." -> Ah, that affectionate little big brother nickname, one he's used while the two have grown up. "Mama's instincts are usually never wrong, lucky, y'know that, right? If mama don't like someone, there's a good reason she doesn't like them. I mean, yeah, mama's misread people before, so she's not ALWAYS right..." "But what I'd suggest to you is being cautious, lucky. Somethin' you don't really seem to do. Mama doesn't hate people for no real reason, she's always got one whether she states it or not." "I want you to have friends, Chance. I really do. I hate seeing my little twin all alone and thinkin' nobody likes him. But as your older sibling the main thing I can suggest is takin' mama's instincts into consideration, but not listenin' fully, okay?" "I wanna see you happy, Chance. I really do. But I also wanna see you happy AND safe."

"Yeah." -> He turned sharply and started preparing the hot cocoa with one hand, waving his other hand to keep his twin's attention as he went on with what he was saying. "Listen, lucky, we've both been 'round a lot of people, yeah? But unlike me, you're very..." -> He paused, trying to find a nice way of putting this. "Trusting." "A little too trusting sometimes. He's a little too trusting and kind of reckless, which is why momma and pappa are always worried 'bout you and baby you a lot unlike me." "Now I'm not gonna like- Knock you down or anything for that, I'd be a shit twin brother if I did that, wouldn't I?" "I'm saying this because it's something I've noticed, something that's made me worry about you too. There's people in this world, as you know, who'll put on whatever mask, face, etc etc that they need to to get whatever they want outta you." "Whether it's sex, money, some sort of personal possession, whatever whatever. You need to learn how to tell those people apart from the genuine people who wanna be around you because they like being around you, because they like and love you for you and who you are, not what you could give them."
