Honestly, the more I think about it, the more absurd I find how the whole IC treats Nesta as a whole. I'm talking about centuries-old Fae who have been around before Feyre and her sisters were a twinkle in their daddy's eye. You mean to tell me that the illustrious Inner Circle, who have centuries of experience, knowledge, and power, can't seem to control their anger when a mouthy, traumatized twenty-something sneers mean words at them? They get bent out of shape when that same newly made baby Fae expresses her dislike for them?
Given how old they are, you would think that they would be ABOVE acting like mean girls or get a fucking clue and leave Nesta be, or at least use their CENTURIES of knowledge to pool resources to help her with her trauma instead of some shitty little intervention that was really just a humiliation ritual to make her pay for hurting poor, baby, fragile Feyre and being mean to poor little meow meow Cassian. Imagine being centuries old and leagues above someone in their twenties, and you freak the fuck out when they call you a poopy head.
Feyre says that very few people like Nesta. Mor says that she's a wicked monster who would thrive in the CoN, and doesn't deserve the benefit of the doubt. Cassian says that everyone hates her.
Meanwhile, Nesta is out here making friends like nobody's business: Gwyn, Emerie, the Valkyries, Clotho (really it feels like Nesta's befriended all the priestesses except Merrill), Bryce, Ember, Randall.
And then, of course, there's Eris, who wants to marry her after only three dances.
The IC are really the only ones who can't see how amazing Nesta is.

Archery and hunting are two very different things. Nesta may have known archery, but Feyre mentioned that Nesta would accidentally scare the prey away, which is why Feyre preferred to hunt alone. This is a completely separate skill set from archery. You can know how to shoot a gun, but not be good at hunting. You can know how to kick or throw a ball but not be good at sports. Even in the Blood Rite, Nesta did not hunt. She used the bow and arrow to save Gwyn's life, but she did not use it to hunt. She stole food off of dead Illyrians, but even at the end of ACOSF, Nesta still did not possess the skills to hunt.
Nesta cooked, cleaned, did the dishes and the laundry, chopped wood, reached out to family members for financial assistance, dragged water to the house for baths, was trying to marry an abuser to keep Elain fed and to not be a burden on Feyre, and was even willing to sell her body on the streets to help her family if it came to that. Feyre did the hunting; Nesta did everything else.

Nesta is being written like one of those main characters in Chinese dramas who are subjected to every conceivable traumatic situation imaginable. She gets beaten down, emotionally abused, physically abused, pushed to her absolute breaking point, and then, when she finally drops dead, the entire main cast shows up, stands over her corpse, and basically demands that she get up and stop pretending to be dead.
At this point, Nesta could be lying there stone-cold dead, and everyone would just stare at her like, “Nesta. Enough with the dramatics. Get up.”

Follow for more beautiful things!
You remember one of the reasons why Nesta hated her father? Because of this:
“He let Mother die— he had a fleet of ships at his disposal to sail acros the world for a cure, or he could have hired men to go into Prythian and beg them for help. But he let her waste away."
"He loved her —he grieved for her." I didn't know what the truth was—-perhaps both.
"He let her die. You would have gone to the ends of the earth to save your High Lord."
-Acotar chapter 30 pg 266-267
I’m just thinking of how she was willing to die for Cassian in ACOWAR. She would’ve gone to the ends of the earth for him. Would’ve killed for him.
And then again in ACOSF
How triggering it would’ve been seeing Rhysand withhold information from Feyre, letting her risk her life and almost dying whilst pregnant.
Rhysand let Feyre die and Nesta did the impossible to save her sister like their father never saved their mother...
I don't think that fact is stated enough. They were on the brink of DEATH. Basically DEAD but the Troves together, thanks to Nesta, stopped literal time as she made a bargain and gave back whatever she took from the Cauldron to SAVE them.
Rhysand allowed Feyre to die, but he wouldn't even suffer the consequences of his (stress induced, worried, anxious, paranoid, wanting to keep her calm and whatever other excuses given to him 😒) actions when he'd be going with her (and the kid), too. They'd die together as one, but Nesta prevented that.
They BOTH escaped death for a SECOND time due to outside interventions and from characters we're not meant to like, at that.
And now, to think, Nesta is stuck with Cassian, who is no different from her father and Rhysand. Nesta is better off finding a home away from the NC before she ends up dead due to another male's incompetence.
The only thing Cassian could be somewhat congratulated for was not choking the shit out of Nesta while under the influence of the Crown, but even then, I think that's more linked to mates not being able to kill each other than his own will as an individual who actually loves her.
Not only characters we’re not supposed to like. Characters they’ve repeatedly and continue to treat terribly.
