Know the difference between aesthetic attraction, sensual attraction, and sexual attraction.

Aesthetic attraction is simply recognizing that someone has a nice face, smile, figure, etc. There is no desire to act on it. Sensual attraction is not sexual, and is a desire to cuddle, kiss, or do other intimate things aside from sex. Sexual attraction means appreciating someone’s body and wanting to engage in sexual acts with them. In a nutshell:

Aesthetic attraction: “She has a pretty face. It’s very appealing to look at her.”

Sensual attraction: “She has a pretty face. I want to kiss her, cuddle with her, and bake her cookies.”

Sexual attraction: “She has a pretty face. I want to kiss her and do things with her that are usually reserved for a bedroom.”
