The day the music died, and earth lost its angel.

I meant to post something earlier, but I was battling a migraine.

49 years without you, Elvis, on this planet…four years since you welcomed me into your world. Or rather, since you stepped into mine. My life has never been the same, but my new normal with you feels so comfortable now, as if you’ve always been here. Maybe you have, and I just didn’t realize it.

Today will always tug at my heart, but it doesn’t feel like the end to me. You’re so alive still, in your music, your movies, the magic you share and spread among your fans…it’s hard for me to feel sadness, when you bring me so much joy and certainty. You feel more like a friend than a memory that’s always out of reach.

I know I say it every year, but thank you❤️🙏truly. Thank you for everything. You legitimately changed my life. Sometimes I still can’t wrap my head around it—who know a movie could alter so much?? I just set out to understand your grief and pain, and here I am now with a guardian angel I know is always by my side.

I love you, Elvis. I love you with all my heart. I hope I can finally visit Graceland next year, and return to Hawaii again soon. You truly leave a mark wherever you go and I love walking among that beautiful energy.

Today isn’t about goodbye; it’s a way for us to return the love and appreciation you’ve shown and continued to show us from wherever it is you are, now❤️

Having spent the night with Stephen for the first time, she finds herself in his bed. A yawn escapes her as she cuddles further into the blanket. Wait. That‘s not the blanket she tangled herself in last night- and why is it wrapping itself around her?

She quickly starts to sit up but is stopped by the red cloth, tightenuing itself around her. Y/N blinks a couple times before realizing it‘s her lover‘s wizard-y cloak.

Sighing, she tries to move her arm to awaken the sleeping man next to her - Failing when the cloak doesn‘t allow her to move.

“Stephen.. Stephen! Your cloak is not letting me move!“ She exclaims loudly, hoping to wake him up.

Her boyfriend slowly wakes up, trying to come back to reality. His gaze stops on her and the cloak as a smirk crosses his face, “Well, that‘s interesting.“

“Interesting? I can‘t move!“ She retorts aggitatedly.

“Might like you just as much as I do,“ Stephen says in a smug tone, wrapping his arms around her.

She sighs frustratedly, “Okay.. Now both of you, okay.“

Stephen looks at, booping her nose, “Admit it, you love it.“

She shakes her head fermently, knowing she‘s lying to herself. “Fairly, I do not! I feel suffocated.“

“You looooove it,“ Stephen peppers her face in kisses. He‘s found himself having a hard time letting people in, ahowing his love and affection. However, he‘s worked on it and now Y/N makes it feel easy.

“Okay.. Maybe I like being wrapped like a burrito and cuddled like a puppy,“ she mutters under her breath.

Stephen smirks, “Knew it. Cloak, let me inside the burrito.“

The cloak shakes his.. head? Whatever you like to call the top part.

The sorcerer looks at it in disbelief, “Yes, let me in! That‘s my girlfriend.“

“But I want my back to be rubbed,“ she pouts. Just then, the cloak starts to stroke her back.

She smiles, “Stephen, your cuddles might be replaced.“

A dramatic, fake offended gasp escapes her boyfriend, “Me? Replaced? Well, can the cloak do this?“

He leans forward, pressing his lips to hers and moving slowly. Silently, the cloak pushes his head away and presses a piece of cloth to her mouth as if to prove that it can do it.

Y/N gags a bit, having gotten lint in her mouth. “Yeah, Steph, you might be better.“

A laugh escapes from Stephen as he shakes his head, “Cloak, do not do this again.“

Feeling reprimanded, the cloak curls into itself almost like a kicked puppy.

“Naw, poor guy,“ Y/N hums.

“Him the poor guy? Rather me. I didn‘t get to cuddle you,“ Stephen exclaims.

She giggles, “To be fair, cuddling is something your cloak can do.“

Stephen presses closer, whispering lowly into her ear, “Yeah…? But don‘t forget what I can do.. like last night.“
