You don't hate Lucien because he's an abuse enabler because you have been told time and again that is NOT what the author wrote him to be or thinks of him - you hate Lucien because the author mated him to Elain Archeron and you can't stand the thought that she might not end up with the guy you want her to.

Bad faith takes in this fandom are the exact reason certain people in this fandom sink down to the depths of being complete assholes who verbally attack / cyber bully real people.

Calling Lucien an abuse enabler when the authors own words contradict that is WILD. Of course you can be frustrated by the mistakes he made, I get frustrated by the mistakes Rhysand and Feyre have made throughout the series too - Feyre literally blamed Rhys for "what he did to her UTM" and had Feysand decided to just be honest with Tamlin and Lucien many things could have been avoided including the need to play double agent with Hybern (I mean, should we also accuse Lysandra of being an abuse enabler / sexual deviant for being willing to go along with the plot they thought up for tricking Aedion to have children with her as she pretended to be Aelin?) but it's not going to do anyone any good to accuse a character the author loves of being something they are not.

Lucien is not some repeat offender who enjoys undermining women and allowing harm to come to them. These characters have all made mistakes but those mistakes are typically made because they found themselves in difficult situations. That does not make them "abuse enablers" and if you were to walk up to Sarah and ask if she thought Lucien was an abuse enabler she'd laugh in your face just like she laughed when Steph asked her if Gwyn was a child (another delightful e/riel theory). If you can't understand the nuance to the characters and their actions you may be a bit too young for this sort of reading material.

All they constantly do is make things worse. Biased judging has always been here and they have done nothing to stop it. Russian, Japanese, and American athletes are constantly getting overscored while skaters from other smaller federations get underscored. The rule they passed in the last congress about judging is bullshit and does nothing to face the actual problem.

People are complaining that fs has lost its artistry? Let's remove a jumping pass AGAIN. Yes, the jumping passes used to be 8 and then turned to 7 and now to 6. In a 100 years will there be 4 jumps at this rate? The most ironic part of everything is the fact that during the time when 8 jumping passes were performed it was also artistry's "prime".

Removing a jumping pass helps with nothing, it only makes it easier for skaters who are not advanced technically. They are actively making the sport easier.

Ilia was trying for two season to land those 7 quads and now they are like yeah let's reduce them to 6 (cause really who is doing a quad as a second jump in a combo? Only Misha and Ilia) and scrap one combination, scrap the euler while we are at it too. Why!? He is actively trying to push the boundaries and you are like "Yeah no thank you."

I am just so pissed rn. Also the choreo spin will do nothing. Everyone is just most likely going to do a normal spinning position and call it a day. 😭

Also the fact that all 3 men medalists at Worlds voiced how they didn't like the rules changes. Those are your top skaters right there, why are we not considering their opinions? And seriously it's pissing me off so bad. It's like the skaters and audience that are watching have no say when it clearly involves us. Especially the skaters! Shouldn't there be a voting of some sorts!? And not amongst the ISU but skaters and public included. Seriously, it's ridiculous.

Also why doesn't technique matter anymore!? Lutzes are flutzes and flips have outside edges (evgenia, Kaori, Alexandra and so on) prerotations are going insane (Alysa having 0,75 at triples is diabolical. Like why are we praising Ilia so much for having 0,25 and 0,50 prerotation when that should be the standard to begin with! [It's valid that we do It's textbook perfect but shouldn't everyone's be!?]) Also Ami's (3A) and Isabeau'a jumping techniques...

Traveling is ignored too. What was with Anna's spins at the Olympics and getting no call whatsoever about traveling from Beijing to Russia. And I am not trying to hate on the skaters. That's the problem, everyone gets mad at Alysa, or Anna or Ilia for playing along. Hate the game not the player! They are not responsible for how they are judged and scored.

Also, the way they have been favoring Russia for years, disgusting. The 2002 pair event at the Olympics, both Canadian team and Russia team getting gold! Almost as if they refused to upset Russia. The way they have broken the Olympics truce, not once, not twice yet THREE TIMES. And only got punished once and you have people like Tatiana Tarasova coming out and asking why they got banned. The state sponsored dopings yet the ISU just turns a blind eye...
