And then the Nehemia stuff happened and it’s just reminding me how the text painted chaol as almost too good to be true for aelin so that when everything happened, he had such a fall from grace and we are shown that it was actually always Dorian who had her back from day 1 :(( chaol was so present romantically but it was Dorian who even when he felt rejected by aelin was still always there :(( and then aelin was always looking out for him too :((

Aedion got rescued, I'm back to being REALLY annoyed by Chaol lol, and I'm gonna let myself believe that Dorian doesn't have a demon prince inside of him and that instead it's one big metaphor for depression/grief that Dorian is dealing with after the death of his healer girl.
