im sorry but i beg to differ. a really major part of transrace folks treat their transrace ID as an exotic thing. this is especially common with americans which is why i often say that these kinds of transrace people are the same as americans that claim to be any % of a different race/ethnicity. like "i'm 1% african!" shit.

it's about wanting to be anything else other than "boring american" which in turn leads to fetishizing the race/ethnicity and turning it into an exotic and very dehumanising thing to those who are actually born into/connected with that identity.

this is especially rampant with transrussians, because vast majority of transrussian tips and profile themes are either insanely racist/xenophobic or stereotypical. because they're often written by americans or even western europeans whose view of russians is full of western cold war ass propaganda. and dont even get me started on godawful google translated russian. frankly this goes for any enemy of the West, not just russians, it's just transrussian is super hip right now

and that's not even counting transblack individuals using the transblack identity solely to say the n word. that's a whole massive issue on its own.

i really think the sentiment of "you don't need to transition into your race/ethnicity, you ARE that race/ethnicity" is inherently insanely racist and disrespectful too. it's a free pass people give themselves to be racist, treat their ID as a quirky exotic thing, and not learn anything about their ID, the culture and history.

i think transrace community has a giant racism problem and i'm tired of sweeping that under the rug. it will never get better if we just pretend like everything is okay
