“May I please draw your OC?”
Reblog this message if you encourage anyone that wants to draw your OC to do so. No need to ask for permission in advance.
Go for it. Draw my OC. If you want, I’ll even give you reference posts. Go to town on it.
You are welcome to draw my OC and surprise me with the result. Seriously. In fact, I encourage it. I will proudly display whatever it is you submit to me regarding my OC. There is a chance that I will squeal about it for several days.
Even if you feel you aren’t good at whatever artistic adventure it is you do, please feel free to submit it to me. I want to see what you have done.
So who volunteers to become completely invested in my characters to the point that you annoy me enough that I finally keep writing my story?
pick me op!!
This is the kind of enthusiasm I want to see!
Helena: Hey Red, can you carry this for me?
Mary: Uh I don’t know I can barely handle the weight of my depression.
Helena: Jesus Christ pick up the damn grocery bags Mary!

Hey btw if you don’t know how to program, you should check out [novelty], which is a free Visual Novel creation software. Absolutely no programming required, and it’s super easy to use, I played with it some when I was a teen but the only reason I didn’t do much with it is cuz I made my story complicated and had like 5000 different branching routes that kept spawning new routes and made myself confused LMAO
But yeah, it’s a WYSIWYG with a really straight-forward GUI, if I remember correctly.
It even comes with some free backgrounds and characters and stuff, and this is what it looks like:
Did I mention it’s super duper free? It hasn’t been updated since 2010, but it has basically all you’d need to make a simple visual novel.
Just make sure your DirectX runtime is updated, cuz it can act buggy if it’s outdated, but this program is so old that I doubt it’d even be an issue lol
holy shit
This is so cool? Can you imagine fanfic in this format?
@becausedragonage @ashidoodle can I recommend Choice Script? It’s like a choose your own adventure coding program. The finished product looks like this, where every option sends you down a different path:
They are literally books you can play. You can even insert your own character’s name and pronouns and that would make writing reader inserts so much easier And as a writer who can not art, writing and making dating sims and games is more convenient.
The coding is also super simple and easy to learn and all it requires other than the program files is a text editor. And just like that you can start typing up like you would your own fanfics or stories. Plus it’s very versatile so you can make your game/book as simple or as complicated as you want, and even implement stats and inventory systems.
AND CHOICE SCRIPT IS ALSO SUPER DUPER FREE. THE COMPANY EVEN PUBLISHES YOUR FINISHED GAME FOR YOU AND GIVES YOU ROYALTIES IF YOU CHOOSE TO SELL IT. THE PROGRAM STILL GETS UPDATED AND THE COMPANY PUBLISHES BOOKS EVERY MONTH INCLUDING THE FANMADE ONES. THERE’S ALSO A FORUM FOR PEOPLE TO POST WIPS AND TALK ABOUT CHOICE SCRIPT AND GET HELP.
And there’s Ren'py, also for visual novels!

Jorah Mormont X Reader: Safe
This was written for @written-by-living-stars Moon's Writing Challenge!
My first attempt (not in my native language), so be gentle please.
"Back when I killed people for a living, that was the end of it. They always stayed nice and dead.” you say while you equip you weapons and armour.
Jorah smiles weakly and passes you a cape with the Dragon Queen's emblem on it. “I still don't think it wise that you accompanie us. Despite your abilities, it is a war, it's dangerous.” His blue eyes wander to your (e/c) ones, filled with worry.
You grin slightly at Jorah’s worry over you, “Ser Jorah,” you pause, “I am perfectly capable of taking care of myself. The dead don't scare me.” You stare directly into his eyes. He looks down, heavy lidded. “This I know, my lady,” he admits, “but—”
"I'm not a lady!" you scold him softly. He smiles and gently brushes a streak of (h/c) hair out of your face. "I know, but for me -"
He gets interrupted as the door gets jerked open and Ser Davos hastes into the room.
"We have to leave now. It begins."
You gently lay your arms around Jorahs neck. “You’re too stubborn for your own good, my lady.” he says sadly and pulls you closer into a hug. You sigh, giving into his embrace, which is warmer than you expected it. You turn your head so you’re facing him. You share a gaze and feel his warm breath spreading over your face. You place a hand on his chest covered in armour, and he looks away with warm cheeks.
"We need to go now."
-
The next time you see him is after the first battle. Torn clothes hanging from your aching body while you drag yourself to where Drogon has landed. You know that if he's alive, he will be there. You stumble through the lines of Dothraki, Unsullied and Northmen to where you can see the white hair of your chosen Queen.
As soon as you are close enough for him to see you, Jorah rises from the ground, his face covered in blood and he isn't wearing his armour anymore, but he has a wide smile in his lips and seems barely hurt. He spreads his arms as you almost leaped into his embrace. He pulls you close to his chest, only covered by a thin tunic. He engulfs your body to his and wraps his own coat around your back, cocooning you to him.
"I thought I lost you," he whispers with a trembling voice, "I saw you getting encircled by them and-" You nuzzle deeper into his embrace to feel his full body heat, silencing him. You place both hands around his waist, granting a small relieved moan from him. Jorah takes a deep breath, relaxing into your new position.
"Kiss me, Jorah Mormont!" you command now urgently. Jorah wastes no time pressing his lips to yours. You barely notice the applause from the Queen and her allies as you deepen the kiss with the man you love.
You are safe.
At least for now.
Can you do some insult or snarky kind of remarks?
1. “Oh you look terrible! Have you been sick?”
2. “I’m sorry, I’ll try not to use so many syllables.”
3. “If you can’t pronounce it, don’t say it.”
4. “If you were any smarter, I’d teach you to play fetch.”
5. “I’ve had a lot to drink, and you still don’t look good.”
6. “Too bad your body cant make up for that nose.”
7. “You have… such a great personality.”
8. “Nice perfume. Must you marinate in it?”
9. “To qualify for a Napoleon complex, you’d need to grow at least six inches.”
10. “My neck hurts from insulting you.”
11. “May I offer you a mint?”
12. “I love how you’ll just wear anything.”
13. “I’m sure that outfit would look good on someone.”
14. “We’ve taken a vote, you’re trying too hard.”
15. “If brains were taxed, you’d get a rebate.”
16. “Brains aren’t everything. I mean, just look at you!”
17. “Ever wonder what life would be like if you were given enough oxygen at birth?”
18. “Most people live and learn. You just live.”
19. “Ignorance can be cured. Stupid is forever.”
20. “I wish I were as smart as you think you are.”
21. “You really earned that BS degree, didnt you?”
22. “Where’d you hear that? On a blog?”
23. “You should get a refund on that college education.”
24. “Your mediocrity is unparalleled.”
25. “The fact that no one understands you doesn’t mean you’re an artist.”
26. “You would think being married four times would be enough.”
27. “It’s lonely at the top, isn’t it?”
28. “You’re not yourself today! I noticed the improvement immediately.”
29. “Your father should have pulled out.”
30. “Im impressed. Ive never met someone with such a small mind inside such a big head before.”
31. “It’s hard to get over yourself, isn’t it?”
32. “You might want to go back home and take your meds.”
33. “You’re not even half baked, you’re just plain raw.”
34. “Is this what a relapse looks like?”
35. “I bet you’d make a great politician.”
36. “You’re as good as your word, and your vocabulary sucks.”
37. “Of course you’ve got standards. They have to be women.”
38. “You have so many notches on your belt, it’s falling apart.”
39. “Your inferiority complex is justified.”
40. “You’re one bad relationship away from having 30 cats.”
41. “You bore me, and I enjoy watching paint dry.”
42. “There must be SOMETHING redeeming about you.”
43. “Save your breath. You’ll need it to blow up your date.”
44. “I’m busy now, can I ignore you some other time?”
45. “If they can make penicillin out of moldy bread, SURELY they can make something out of you.”
Me trying to figure out the distance between places and how long it’ll take a character to get there in a society that travels mostly on foot:
What I do is determine about how many miles the distance is, after that I look up two European cities that are about that far apart, and switch the Google maps thingy from car to walk.
Holy shit my dude! Why you gotta blow my mind like this!?
Now I feel like I have reblogged both of the threads that followed this OP.
The other thread was someone had math’d it out, so that things like age, slopes, how much they’re carrying, if they’re walking with a group or alone or if they had horses…
Here, someone blows all our minds with the simple, obvious answer that no one else had thought of.
Thank you OP for asking, thank you Tumblr for answering.

I’m tired.
I’m tired of checking the list of my followers for porn bots every day.
Do I know how many followers I currently have? Sure!
Do I know how many of them are porn bots? No fucking clue.
I’m tired of @staff not doing anything against the real problems on this joke of a website.
I’m tired of porn blogs making innocent content into something not made for younger people by adding disgusting comments and links and reblogging it to their own shitty, poor imitation of a blog.
I’m tired.
A wild comfy sofa chair has appeared!!
…..What will you do?
Freya: This morning I woke up at 5am and made a quick breakfast of eggs and bacon and went for a quick walk to get coffee and finished all my work early and played with Socks and-
Mary: *visibly exhausted* This morning I had half a cheese stick and called my therapist.
hey writblr
how do you organize your worldbuilding notes? and character notes? do you use a specific program? or book? how do you know/keep track of where everything is?
please share your wisdom with an idiot who has 2000 different documents and no idea where anything is
I cram it all into one word document! I’ve got a pretty specific formula for how I label information and whatnot so it’s easy to find, starting with broader categories:
then each with its own subcategories. Here’s nations:
Religion (This one’s a work in progress unfortunately (partially because I put a lot of notes about religion into culture lol)):
Races (with a human section for different ethnicities):
The category for the different races is the most flexible because some creatures need certain information. In this case, the Giants are pretty standard, but the Earthborn have addition categories because they’re magical and constructs.
Groups:
Another work in progress; I should probably add in stuff like purpose and origins as extra categories :P
World History:
Those “what they know” and “what actually happened” categories are super important. Also where I keep notes on important historical figures, like my man Malicent here.
And the Character category is where I dump any notes about the characters themselves! I’m bad about this one though I tend to rely on my own memory which…not great lmao
tl;dr cram it into one document WITH A TABLE OF CONTENTS and you’ll be thanking your past self forever afterwards
Reblogging for the addition.
I use this app:
Over 40,000 authors are already writing their next masterpiece using Novelist! Novelist is the app that helps you writing your novels. And
It’s pretty flexible, and allows you to create as many categories, as you want, and to link items together via tags. It’s great for keeping your character/world/locations/plot/whatever you want data. Novelist has a built-in text-editor (don’t forget to turn on auto-save before typing) and scene-management tab.
me: writes two paragraphs
me: better check the word count :) i bet it’s five hundred words :)) no!!! a thousand :))) what if it’s five thousand :)))))))
