Third opinion
Finally, someone with real knowledge.
And of course Alastor wants to be not like other girls /j
also im lazy to draw hos monocle like i usually do, i'll be doing that only for big proper comics like breakfast or forced broadcast or rotrd
Someone on Reddit is like "i don't like how this artist portrays things, Rosie trying to pin a label on Alastor is problematic", DAMN, NO SHIT! THAT WAS THE WHOLE POINT, HELLO? Some people are truly braindead istg... Reddit is a funny place, not in a good way, and maybe it's a good thing i'm shadowbanned there.
Masterpost
Alastor speaking though the radio is actually a perfect bit.
Becuse this is right after Vox thinks he has taken full control over Alastor. Over his image, over his body, over his atention, but this sceen proves Vox doesn't have what he wants most, Alastor's mind.
The thing he wants is for Alastor to tell him he is good enough and in abcents of that Vox wants to make him shut up. He can do neither.
I love when you draw Asuma as an older brother to Iruka. It's so sweet.
I read a fic where Kakashi was reading parenting books to help him be a better teacher and now I have the image of a time traveling Kakashi handing his younger self a parenting book and just disappearing.
Baby Kakashi proceeds to read it and walks up to Minato the next day with an itemized list of every social development milestone he's lacking and a demand to fix it.
Cue a comedy of errors where Minato has to teach Kakashi how properly socialize and communicate with others, starting with Obito and Rin.

toothless is not the all-powerful dragon that he's implied to be in the movies. he has weaknesses, including that of eels, grimora, blue oleander, and death song amber. he's not the fastest, either, as demonstrated by a skrill that rides lightning to instantly zap into the clouds. snow wraiths are able to fly at crazy speeds even during blizzards.
now i'd like to clarify i am not hating on night furies. they're great, their design is slick & unique (to the series at least), and they have some things that make them stand out. But they are not at the top of the hierarchy like they're made out to be by the sheer amount of plot armor toothless is given.
Thinking about Dagur's insanely epic throne again. Iron Throne who?
We can all agree that it's epic and badass and fits him insanely well but I was thinking about how exactly he got it or how he got it made.
We know that Dagur and Heather rebuild the Berserker tribe at the end of S5/beginning of S6 which includes reclaiming/resettling on Berserker Island. It's possible that the throne was the same design that Oswald and other previous chieftains used but I don't think that's the case. The Skrill motif on the back of it is the same design that Dagur uses on his armour in RTTE which is significantly different from the Skrill motif the Berserkers use as their crest as per their sails and Dagur's own belt in RoB and DoB. So this new motif seems to be something that Dagur came up with and he specifically uses which means that he also rebuilt the whole throne (or had it rebuilt). I imagine the weapons he used for the designs are either ones they took from their enemies or Berserker weapons they had lying around (because I imagine they have A LOT of weapons).
And I love how... poetic that is? Like, there's the intimidation factor, obviously, it's a badass design but there's also several layers to Dagur literally sitting on a throne of weapons. On the one hand, it's a flex. Acknowledging the violent history of the Berserkers and being proud of it. Here, this is what this tribe is built on, we will fight and defend our own against any and all who threaten us with all our might. On the other hand, it's also a visualization of the new direction that Dagur takes the tribe in, being less aggressive and war-mongering. If you use your weapons to build your throne with it, if you literally sit on them, you can't use them to fight, you don't just use any and all weapons you have to constantly attack others. You CAN use them, if the necessity arises, but you don't have to or even necessarily want to. And I just think that's really beautiful in a way. Apart from, you know, just being hella badass.
I can just totally see Dagur coming up with this design idea. I imagine it went something like this:
Captain Vorg: "Hey Dagur, we found this whole bunch of weapons lying around, what should we do with them? We already have enough to arm every Berserker twice over, should we just melt them down?"
Dagur (thinking about how to design his new epic throne at this very moment): "You know what, I have a much, much, much better idea..."
Heather (the second she sees the thing): "What the hell, Dagur?"
Dagur: "Shut up, sister, it's awesome!"
And he is right. It is awesome.
First two to die in the apocalypse btw
As I wait in line I just remembered how when the RTTE series was just coming out, I was CONVINCED Johann was gonna be a bad guy. Why, you ask? Because he was Trader Johann. And in my mind (because I was pretty young) Trader sounded like Traitor. Traitor Johann. So.

Some people are forgetting how smart the twins are. I mean, they speak multiple languages, successfully infiltrated a major dragon hunting operation, threw Viggo/Krogan/Johan off their game multiple times, and can start spewing random but accurate knowledge at the drop of a hat. They know they’re smart, but they don’t show it because they know if Hiccup sees them as smart and not just ridiculous, he’ll trust them with more responsibilities, which they don’t want.
They’re playing everyone in this damn series and I’m so proud of them.
This is such a good point!!!
Like, Astrid already is second-in-command. Enough said.
And over the course of the series, both Fishlegs and Snotlout express desires for leadership. Snotlout wants to take over as leader when Hiccup becomes chief, he says this to Hiccup even AND he's the one to lead the fight against the Singetails/Flyers first attack the Edge. Fishlegs wants to be trusted to be left in charge and dreams of leadership.
But the twins? They do not! And that's valid!!!
rtte episode and the entire plot is Tuffnut realizing that the gang are in a tv show, except obviously he doesn’t know it’s a tv show he just knows there’s people watching, and for whole episode he’s just pointing out plot holes and breaking the fourth wall
Lilith hate almost always comes down to "I know we barely know her, I just get a bad vibe from her, so I already blindly hate her" and that's one thing, but... 99% of the time it comes from people who are fans of a character we already KNOW is a bad person right NOW (you know exactly what characters I'm talking about).
So, how much do these people actually care about characters being "bad people" and instead are just looking for any excuse to hate Lilith, because the literal only difference is that we barely know her, which is literally the point for now, and that she's a woman.
My problem with the Lilith hate isn't as much about Lilith "having done bad things" (because at this point in the story we don't have enough answers yet to fairly judge that), my problem is much more about the people who use arguments like that love male characters who've done SO much worse with already confirmed canon proof.
And honestly, even if Lilith ends up being an "evil irredeemable woman" who doesn't actually care about Lucifer and Charlie, even then I'm sure I'll enjoy her more than most of the Lilith haters' fan faves.
This reminds me that I've seen one such hater hating Lilith's guts for that one flashback scene where she's separating Charlie from Lucifer, apparently she's a cold hearted bitch for not noticing how sad Charlie and Lu were at getting split up, and totally not getting when I told them that Lilith was most obviously just going to tuck Charlie to bed, and that Lucifer has fucking functional legs he can use to go help her tuck Charlie in if he fucking wants to and he doesn't for whatever reason, but Lilith is the worst for it apparently? Their mentality about was straight up 2 years old toddlers thinking process, someone making people sad makes them a bad person I guess or something. Like for real, I was pratically laughing at their less than convincing excuse to hate Lilith.
And they topped themselves off by saying Vox and Alastor were less worse than Lilith for it because at least they were entertaining. Like, what? As an eternal Vox fan even I felt that was a way too much stupid excuse to even bother justifying their hatred of Lilith, I outright showed the post to my friend who legit laughed when reading their post because of how stupid the hate about Lilith was.
Lady hasn't even had a single line yet apparently is worse than Vox and Alastor as an irredeemable bitch or something.
True stupid hater energy there.

We talk about Hiccup having unexplored trauma from the Red Death but what about the others? What about the entirety of the rest of Berk? What about the all-consuming guilt some of them must feel for the part they played in the war against dragons?
That RTTE episode where Fishlegs is distraught because his ancestors almost wiped out the Dramillions - why doesn’t he feel like that every single day, thinking about how many dragons his own parents must have killed? How many he might’ve killed if Hiccup hadn’t changed things.
If Hiccup had three wishes, what do you think these would be?
Hmm, depends on when he gets these wishes.
I think if it was before he shot down Toothless, he would have wished to truly be that extra large boy with beefy arms and extra guts and glory one the side.
Hiccup has one very single minded goal in his life before he met Toothless, which was to earn the respect and love of his tribe and his Father. Once he had that, or at least believed he had the means to earn it, he would perhaps struggle to think up something else because...who was he after that? What did he want.
He wouldn't wish for the friendship or affection of the gang or Astrid, he would believe he'd have to earn those, so I think with his second wish he'd perhaps look towards his passions. Perhaps his second wish would be to be a great blacksmith and inventor.
And I think for his last wish, he would take time to reflect on it. Think more about how he could help the village. Crazy and contrasting to his first wish as it might be, I think Hiccup would wish for the dragon war to end. Despite the fact we would just have gotten a way to kill dragons and be a "true" Vikings, he's just that kind of guy.
If it was in Rtte era, I think his first and instantaneous wish would be to fully and 100% know and memorize al the knowledge the Dragon Eye holds, so that he could then destroy it and keep it out of hunter hands.
For the sake of the discussion, lets mak so that he can't wish for safety for all dragons ever. I think then he would wish for the ability to be able to convince and show everyone the truth about Dragons, about the wonderful benevolent nature of these once feared beasts. It wouldn't be instant peace from one moment to another, but for me that feels pretty Hiccup-y
I think he'd keep his last wish in his back pocket in case of an emergency, and would probably use when his friend get in great trouble, like maybe instantly healing Astrid's eyesight in Blindsided.
If it was in httyd 2 it would stuff that was happening at the time, like convincing Drago, maybe healing his arm for good measure, or when he sees his parents dancing he wishes for them to be happy together again for the rest of their lives and thus preventing A LOT of people shedding some tears(including some writers here i know)
