Humans definitely did some strange things, but Lucifer was always amused by watching them. In a way, it was a lot like watching animals cavort, so it was very appropriate that he was currently watching a child running after some squirrels. It was entertaining to watch, but he was not all that keen on having the child in his vicinity. So when he came near, Lucifer recoiled a bit, and when the offspring’s apparent owner came over to apologize, he was suitably indignant. “Yes, I would say you should be! You’re supposed to keep your pets in line here, so that should apply to offspring too!”

The comment makes him angry, an emotion that’s so rarely felt due to his calm nature. He has witnessed cruelty on the surface but it always surprises him. He tries his best to always live with faith that their two worlds can unite someday. However, when something like this happens it only makes him realize how far that goal is from his grasp. Luckily Garth is the type of man who would prefer talking before throwing a fist. “Why come to the park if you don’t want to see children playing?” He doesn’t understand the logic in the decision, raising an eyebrow while looking over at the other with a serious expression. However his vibrant purple eyes glow the more he thinks about this man calling his child a pet. The prince takes a few deep breaths and it stops. He can respect people who don’t want any of their own but that’s just cruel. “You have my deepest apologies but I won’t stand here and let you call my son a pet.”

(  @windwavc​​  )  “  ugh   ”   the  atlantean  begins,  reaching  down  to  finally  pick  up  the  last  piece  of  trash  on  the  beach.  well,  in  this  area  that  is,  she  doesn’t  even  want  to  think  about  what’s  happening  further  down.  “  humans  are  always  so  careless  with  their  trash,  it’s  not  hard  to  throw  away.  ”  she  grumbles  (  in  atlantean  )  to  herself,  tying  the  bag  closed  with  a  huff.  turns  to  walk  back  up  the  beach  to  properly  dispose  of  it  but  stops  at  the  sight  of  the  person  in  front  of  her.  he  looks  familiar,  and  a  feeling  in  her  gut  is  telling  her  she  should  know  who  they  are,  but  she  can’t  seem  to  remember.  “  do  i  know  you?  ”  words  are  accidentally  blunt.  “  you  look  familiar.  ”

One minute, Andrina Curry was at her front door, preparing to let herself inside, mentally preparing for the phone call with her parents after a long day, and the next she was in New York, except, not her New York.  Everything seemed out of place, things she knew had been worn by time looked fresh and new, and between the clothing and the technology of everyone around it, something was very wrong. She was still in the process of trying to figure it out, walking through Central Park, at least that seemed more or less the same, when a familiar voice pulled her attention. When she found the source, it only added to the confusion, especially as the man who looked like her brother from years before apologized for the little boys behavior. He looked too much like her brother not to be. “Garth?” If that was Garth, then that meant… The atlantean found her gaze looking down at the little boy in his arms. “Is that Cerdian?” What the fuck was going on here?

 she  couldn’t  help  but  let  out  a  light  laugh  at  the  sight  before  her  .  it’s  cute  !  or  maybe  it’s  just  cuter  because  cerdian  is  a  toddler  exploring  the  surface  world  .  “  oh  it’s  fine  ,  ”  tula  shakes  her  head  ,  letting  her  ponytail  sway  back  and  forth  .  “  you  know  i’m  starting  to  wonder  just  how  big  this  family  is  .  ”  at  this  point  ,  she’s  lost  count  !#justaquafamthings  .  “  and  how  many  of  us  are  here  .  but  it’s  good  to  see  you  garth  !  ”

it’s  not  often  that  arthur  finds  himself  in  central  park,  often  times  avoiding  the  busy  tourist  spot  mainly  due  to  the  sheer  annoyance  he  feels  whenever  he’s  there.  but  for  some  reason  he  felt  compelled  to  visit  the  popular  tourist  attraction,  unsure  as  to  why  but  he’s  learned  overtime  to  always  trust  his  instincts.  and  it  only  proves  itself  right  once  again  as  he  turns  the  corner,  eyes  settling  on  a  familiar  figure.  ceridians  words  can’t  help  but  make  the  atlantean  laugh,  overjoyed  to  see  both  his  son  and  his  grandson.  “  just  wait  till  he  gets  to  go  to  the  zoo,  he’d  have  a  field  day  with  all  of  those  weird  fish.  ”  words  are  humorous  as  he  approaches  them.  he’d  been  trying  to  remain  level  headed  without  his  family  present  so  to  see  them  here  took  an  immense  relief  off  his  shoulders.  “  he  could  never  disturb  my  evening,  neither  of  you  could.  it’s  good  to  see  you,  garth.  ” 

Although the situation they found themselves in was confusing and slightly unnerving when she thought about it, Tora Olafsdotter refused to allow it to take her joy from her. Life was too short to dwell only on the darkest parts, and if anyone was aware of that, it was her. So, amongst the chaos, she found happiness in the simplest of moments, such as enjoying a lovely day in Central Park, watching a young child chase after the squirrels with infectious giggles spilling from his lips. There was something so innocent and pure in the laughter of a child, and no matter how bad things may seem in the moment, it was enough to ground her. So whenever someone began to apologize for the actions of the toddler, Ice quickly shook her head. “No need to apologize, he is too adorable to be any sort of problem.” A bright smile on her lips as she looks at the toddler in his arms before glancing back up at him. “Is he yours?”

jon was walking around the park, trying to clear his head. nature was one thing that could always help him wind down, and while central park wasn’t exactly an open field, it was the greenest thing he could find in the sea of concrete that was new york. he kicked the ground with a little bit more force that he intended to, a nervous habit he developed back when he used to live in the farm, lifting a cloud of dirt around him. shoot. everyone was staring at him now. he was about to apologize to a couple of nannies and parents that were shooting him dirty looks, but before he could give them a sheepish smile and mutter a “sorry”, his super hearing picked up a familiar voice. was that - tempest? he activated his super vision, spotting a little kid next to the familiar boy. “temp- garth! garth!” he shouted, running towards the pair. he was delighted to see a familiar face, and maybe garth had figured out why they were sent here. “is that baby cerdian? he looks so big!” he asked, ruffling the boy’s hair. he had only seen the kid a couple of times, back when he was a tiny little thing he was too scared to carry. 

Pepper hadn’t realize how intently she had been watching the child until his father spoke to her. “Oh, no not at all.” Pepper gives him a small smile. If anything he’s made her long for her own child, a child she can no longer see or hold. She’s jealous, truly. She misses Morgan more than she’s ever missed anyone in her life. There’s a hole in her heart and an ache in her bones that refuses to leave. “He’s quite cute actually, made my evening if I’m honest. - What’s his name?” 

          kids  .   she’s  not  the  biggest  fan  of  them  ,   except  they  seem  to  not  care  about  how  DARK  the  aura  she  gives  out  and  how  much  of  a  not  good  person  she  is  .    ‘  it’s  sticky  finger’s  are  on  me  .  ’    the  words  are  deadpanned  ,   dark  eyes  seeing  the  child  CLING  to  her  ,   slight  frown  upon  her  lips  .     ‘  why  is  he  touching  me ?  ’   forget  the  weird  fish  and  squirrels  ,   the  kid  had  seemed  to  taken  attention  to  her  .  

 she  situates  herself  on  one  of  the  benches  and  takes  a  sip  of  her  tea  .  after  everything  that’s  happened  ,  it’s  nice  to  finally  be  able  to  relax  .  even  if  she  knows  it’ll  be  short-lived  .  she  can’t  help  but  smile  at  the  sight  of  garth  and  his  son  .  his  giggles  are  enough  to  brighten  the  mood  .  “  it’s  fine  ,  ”  zatanna  dismisses  it  with  a  wave  of  her  hand  .  “  looks  like  he’s  having  a  lot  of  fun  so  i  think  that’s  all  that  matters  ,  garth  .  ”

“Hey! Please stop chasing the squirrels.” Garth thought bringing his son to the park would be a fun experience. The last time he brought Cerdian to the surface he was only an infant but now it’s a couple of months after his third birthday and the toddler is determined to befriend every woodland creature that his eyes come across. Today? It just so happens to be squirrels more than anything else. There’s giggles filling the atmosphere and Garth is picking him up off the grass. “Weird fish!” Which makes some laughter of his own leave his lips. He does start to realize that Cerdian has caused a ruckus around this part of Central Park though, which prompts him to apologize. “I’m sorry if he disturbed your evening. He’s never seen them before and got excited.”

She hasn’t spent much time in the human world, preferring to stay below water as much as physically possible. “I’m sorry, do you know where the……” She trails off, forgetting the word. English is hard as she usually talks to fish. “Fish museum?”
