first of all HES IN SPACE. he’s in a SPACESHIP in the TAU CETI SYSTEM. second if you think Eva Stratt would look at the choice of a regular centrifuge or a self balancing centrifuge and go “oh the self balancing centrifuge is too much” or whatever you had your eyes closed and ears sealed the entire time. HER ENTIRE SCHTICK WAS MAKING THE MISSION WORK. why would she allow a fault point in an unbalanced centrifuge if it was a factor she could influence?

i really love this piece - bird window collision deterrents should absolutely be mandatory for large buildings not only in NY, but nationwide. designing architecture to not kill the world around us should be the norm.

The amount of dead birds I found beside the large windows on my college campus was mind boggling.

But it wasnt too much time out of my week to submit the request and do the meeting (months after submission). So if your campus or workplace has such a project application, do try! It was pretty much just me and my colleague asking and the admin happened to also not like seeing carcasses every day, so you don't need a huge group to begin advocating for it.
