He doesnât see her, naturally concentrating on his meal and not dropping any food - though he never does normally, but heâs in front of people and wasting food just isnât cool.
His head tilts but and he pauses his actions to look at her. âSure thing.â Then he continues as if she had never approached, even standing up and going to get more water, milk and coke to drink.
It was only when he returned he started to think he should probably talk to the girl who had joined him⌠It was polite, right? Plus sitting in silence was probably awkward, at least for her; he didnât really mind. âSo⌠What yearâre you in?â
The silence was fine with her, the less interaction she needed to have with people before class began the better it was. Though still he was interesting, well it was more the amount of food he seemed able to put away. More mental notes and fleeting thoughts to distract her.
When he returned and began to speak, she lifted her head, looking up to him with tired eyes. Oh, she'd better answer, being rude wouldn't get her more answers, "I'm a freshman," she set one of her diaries down and lowered down to lean against it, "And you..?"
