North Point Ferry Pier Bus Terminus 北角碼頭巴士總站

With the redevelopment of former North Point Estate, one of the most impressive construction schemes in Asia in 1957.

This Hong Kong’s largest outdoor bus terminal ended her service on 14 May, 2016. The photo was taken on that day, the last sunset for this place.

搭棚 Bamboo Scaffolding

In old districts like North Point, it’s very often to see buildings under renovation these few years.

Bamboo Scaffolding is a cultural characteristic of Hong Kong’s construction works. In bamboo scaffolding, plastic fibre straps and bamboo shoots together form a solid and secure scaffold structure without screws. The bamboo shoots can be build into unique shape and structures to fit the building itself.

Bamboo Scaffolding industry have been deteriorating due to lacking of new and young scaffolders. Hope this traditional construction skill won’t come into “Distinction”.

講起女皇頭大餅 (英女皇頭像硬幣) 在2016年的今天回歸後的第十九個年頭在香港市面上已經很難找到 (毫子比較容易) 一來多年來有不少人收藏二來現今香港電子貨幣通行散銀很少人用要不是工作上每天都要數神沙可能不會這麼快儲成一套自1993年起香港的硬幣背部由女皇頭轉成洋紫荊 (我要強調香港市花是洋紫荊不是紫荊花去"洋"是港共政府的自我政治審查) 英國皇室標記的物品慢慢撤離香港淡出香港人的生活有年輕一輩更不知道女皇頭是香港貨幣甚至認為是假幣可見港共政府在教育上落力去殖對1997前的香港隻字不提近年香港人十分關注香港的前途很多時都會回想起殖民地時代繁榮昌盛的香港看到這些殖民時期產物不禁令我回憶起我的童年的而且確英國把香港推向文明推向國際給我們留下良好的制度文明的基石可惜的是港共政府已耗盡香港人多年來的心血破壞了香港人的核心價值
