you know what another "going back to the way it was" would have accomplished? apocalpyse nr. 3.

do you think the demons and angels would have conveniently decided to stop fighting? and just do nothing forever? or would you have wanted them to erase all celestials except for crowley and aziraphale? or would you have wanted them to trap angels in heaven and demons in hell against their will forever?

or just have them do endless apocalpyse-aversions? a new one that almost kills everything in creation every couple of years, constantly living with the knowledge that something Bad will eventually happen for the rest of eternity?

And somehow they were cosmically rewarded by meeting each other again!! “But it’s not really them” Right, the angel and (former) demon are gone. And instead of an immortal existence tied down by the system of heaven and hell, they get to live their human lives FREE and TOGETHER and IN LOVE!!
