They are not only erasing Will's queernes but Will's whole character! NIKKI WASNT EVEN MENTIONED.
They are trying to convince us that Will had no one because Mike was too centered on El, Lucas was too centered in Max, and Dustin was too centered in... a "new adventure? (This last one feels so rushed up).
Mike was always with Will. Mike always listened to him and tried to understand him, even when he didn't. He was Will's heart. He made him feel like he was not a mistake at all. Like he was better for being different. He gave him the courage to fight on. Not Nikki.
Lucas went on alone to find Will when he fought with Mike about El. He went by himself to the lab, and did not gaf about Mike's behaviour, El's superpowers, or how dangerous it could be. He only wanted to find Will. He loves Max, for sure. But he also loves his friends. He can spend time with his girlfriend and his friends, as he said in season three. Lucas is loyal and caring. It's like they forgot his whole character.
And where the fuck is Dustin? He's not Steve's friend yet, nor has a girlfriend, but suddenly he's too busy for Will? Just tell me you forgot about his character and the fact that he's part of the party and not just a comical relief.
Will HAD people. Just because he's gay it doesn't mean that the people around him suddenly can't understand shit about him, because he wasn't even openly gay. Maybe even he didn't know he was gay yet.
The show started because of Will. Not because he disappeared, but because of how loved he is.
His mom didn't care about simple logics when it came to his boy.
His brother didn't care about interdimensional monsters, or bullies, or his own dreams (NY uni), not when it's about Will.
Mike didn't care having seen his dead body being pulled off the lake, he didn't care about the government, or about how they could get in trouble for letting El stay, he did everything he could to find Will.
Lucas and Dustin followed Mike even when they knew it wasn't possible because they couldn't handle not to try.
The show started because nobody would give up on Will, and it's so sad to see how their creators gave up on him so easily.
The whole cast of characters would HATE their creators.
