“I–” the girl’s expression was frightful, certainly not expecting to run into someone this deep into the woods– or run into anyone at all, for that matter.
Siona hesitates, her voice choked and raw; a tattered book hugged tightly to her chest. “Is– is this still in the f-forest? I was, I was hunting for ghosts in this haunted house, and.. I went through this door–”
She yelps, stepping back into the shade of the trees as a smattering of rain hits her, antennae reeling back with a whimper of pain.
“I don’t– I don’t know where I am.”
the panic would soften her heart, just a tad. enough for her to sigh and step forward. her hand would move in a vague circle around the other – allowing a temporary shield from the incoming boiling rains to hover over the other as long as she was close.
“ yeah, you’re still in the forest. though i don’t know what gave you the idea to go hunting for whatever you were when a boiling rain storm was on the horizon. not exactly the smartest call. “ a shake of her head and she was gesturing for the other to follow her.
“ you’re lucky im such a kind soul. “ a hum, and hooty’s laugh would earn a glare his way.
“ anyway. you obviously aren’t from around here. come in, we’ll treat that burn. “ she gestured toward the antennae, a sigh as if whatever plan she had in mind was swept away due to the newcomer.
