RE: AI I refuse to use or tolerate AI. Period. My art is digital and I work my ass off to create it and improve my skills. I can count on both hands the number of days I didn't draw in 2025. I'm a published author and every single one of my books was scraped to teach AI. I'm salty about it. Also, I've been writing professionally 16 years, 10+ of that has been as an editor, and was in honors English. I know how to use punctuation. So no, my work isn't AI.
Anyway.
So yeah...I think that's me in a quick post. Thanks for stopping by!

Currently Watching: Right this minute? Listening to videos of Oz and The Click reading Reddit posts. I need to catch up on Critical Role, then I'd like to start X-Men 97.
Currently Reading: A lot of Bucky x Reader fic. I'm following Velvet Obsession by @redheadedramblings, Reach For Me by @its-in-the-woods, and any Eddie and Volt joy I can get from @blackbirdofasgard and @calif0rnication.
Current Obsession: Eddie and Volt (Date Everything!) Bucky Barnes (MCU version.) ....it kinda helps that Sebastian Stan is my headcast for both of them.
Currently Working On: From Snowy Ashes (I should be working on Chapter 3 of Past is Prologue, but my Bucky x mutant!reader story wants more love. What's hilarious and I didn't notice til recently...? Both stories involve emotionally broken men with charming and insightful friends, and reader inserts with trauma to deal with. In both, the reader has an established relationship (ambiguous) with a blonde dude named Jon/Johnny with fire associations (Scandalabra from Date Everything and Johnny Storm from Marvel.) I might have certain types, and something to say...apparently.
Currently Wearing: lightweight flowy hippie clothes because it's hot as balls outside.
Last Google Search: X23 - Laura Kinney from Marvel Comics.

So, I might have been in my feels when I wrote this. Apologies for the downer.

You pick up the Dateviators. One last charge for the day. Normally, youâd spend it on a trip to the Breaker Box, or maybe some quiet, soul-baring time with Jon. For months, the Dateviators and the things youâve met, theyâve brought you happiness. Thereâs a new rhythm to your life, and for the first time in years you donât feel alone.Â
But tonight? You do.Â
Alone with the brutality of an arctic tundra.Â
You look at your magic furniture fuck glasses and all you see is your sad reflection in the rosy lenses. Tonight you feel so fucking pathetic, hoping some thing in your house will make you feel like everything is okay. Like you matter.Â
Do you text Sam? Leigh? Nora?Â
No.Â
You think, âwhy donât I go talk to a candlestick?â
Tonight, the Dateviators are a reminder of just how much you need but canât have. You want to go to the Breaker Box, and let Eddie and Volt help you calm your mind and soothe your soul. But for the first time since Skylar arrived, you tell yourself, âtheyâre not real.â Even thinking that feels like a betrayal. Of course theyâre real.Â
But, itâs different.Â
If you slipped in the tub and bashed your head, Bathsheba wouldnât call for help. Phoenicia might dial 911, but who would hear her? Who would unlock Dorian?
Youâre alone.Â
If something happens to the glasses, you wonât have any of them. And it would be so much worse than before. A year ago you were alone with no knowledge of the lives you shared your home with.Â
But now, if the glasses stopped working, youâd know.Â
You could light every candle in the house, but it wouldnât conjure Jon or the way he holds you.
You would stand outside your Breaker Box, empty. No club. No inimitable host or cranky bartender. No dancing with Volt. No stolen glances with Eddie. You would know theyâre there just out of reach. Youâd be locked out of the places where you feel loved and supported. Safe.
Theyâre only real as long as the glasses are.
----
Like I said...there were feelings.

I feel too often Loki is written as a suave, dashing, charming, and alluringly dark love interest.
As a very very long time Loki apologist and Loki fangirl... I saw with all the love in my heart but...
Loki is a fucking loser LMAO.
Yes, he can be charming and talk his way into or out of any situation. But he's also selfish and childish and spoiled. He's a prince for norn's sake!
I like when Loki fics let that petulant and ridiculous side of him shine through. Let him be a whiny bitch who doesn't take reader's feelings into consideration, and then regrets it later. Let him get jealous and start a petty ass argument for no reason. Let him make mistakes or say rude things he doesn't mean.
LET LOKI BE A SHIT.
He is the OG shit. I love when he's difficult and petty and just plain pathetic. It's part of his charm!
I hear analysis that Loki betrayed the gods in the mythology stories but i read it as sometimes what happens when you build a community and donât watch out for everyone.
In all myths where Loki betrays the gods. Loki is first kidnapped and tortured into an oath. He keeps his word on forced oath and in return help fix the problem he caused.
The gods failed Loki because he went missing, no one noticed or rescued Loki before heâs forced into an agreement. Loki is left to be tortured. They were quick to get their apples and hammers however. Cared more about golden hair than a person in their group.
I do wonder if Loki snapping at the gods is result of someone who while in a community was not treated as equal, was not cared for, often abandoned to violence. The rebellion that happens when someone is not treated as equals.

Bucky Barnes x mutant!ReaderJohnny Storm x mutant!eader (established, ambiguous)Â
This is an MCU AU that takes place after the events of The Falcon and Winter Soldier, but Bucky has CA:TWS hair because I fucking said so. Natasha survived, but Steve and Tony are gone to a farm upstate. Valentina isn't a thing in this AU (because I haven't watched CA:BNW or Thunderbolts* yet.) X-Men portions are based on comics and the first 2 films. Johnny is my personal Johnny loosely based on the 2005 Fantastic Four film. (He's Chris Evans, okay?) âTLDR - Canon? Whoâs she?
Series Tags: AFAB she/her reader, No use of y/n, heavy themes involving trauma, age gap (reader is in her 40s), flashbacks to reader as a child, medical trauma, experimentation on mutant children in flashbacks, PTSD (bucky and reader), strangers to friends to lovers, slow burn, eventual smut (it's hot, I promise)
Chapter Wordcount: ~1900
Chapter Summary:Â Much to your surprise, you wake up in a cold infirmary.
But where are you? And who is waiting for you to wake up?
Chapter Tags: canon violence but not to kill; medical trauma, medical mistrust, medical accuracy took off the grippy socks because no one wants to know everything a coma patient would be hooked up to (just know that I know intimately what that would entail and I've saved you the trouble of knowing it too); shirtless Bucky (it's a warning); needles; fire

The mission had been simple.Â
You'd executed it flawlessly.Â
But then, you got greedy.
Careless.Â
Dead.Â
When you open your eyes, the room is dim with dull grey light. Youâre alone in a large med bay similar to those youâve haunted dozens of times before. From your current position, you can see brighter light, another bed or two. Theyâve tucked you away in your own dark corner where carts hold syringes, tubes, and countless other accouterments sealed in sterile plastic. Thereâs an IV in your forearm, a tube in your nose, and a scratch in your throat.Â
Holy shit. IâmâŠalive.
Slowly you reach up to your nose.Â
Feeding tube. No oxygen.
As you pat down your chest, you feel a heart monitor on bare skin. Soft, smooth, but thin fabric. You've worn enough hospital gowns in your life to know this is just the latest in your collection.Â
Where is my suit?Â
From a room or two away you hear, âDoctor Cho, could you come look at this?â
Doctor Cho.
Scanning your foggy memory, you run through all of the intel youâd spent weeks studying. There was no scientist at the lab with that name. You donât know all of the personnel at the Baxter Building, but youâd never met a Doctor Cho. And if youâd been taken to Muir Island, youâd probably hear Doctor MacTaggartâs brogue as she bustled about. No one at the Bax or Muir would dare take your suit. Therefore, your chances of being among friends are dwindling.Â
Slowly, you pull the feeding tube from your nose, stifling the urge to gag as it passes through your esophagus. As you sit upright, your head swims and your vision darkens, but the moment passes as you draw steady breaths. Sliding to the edge of the bed, you shake out your feet before placing them on the cold floor. Your limbs donât buckle. Lightly, steadying yourself on the bed, you make your way to the nearest supply cart, taking gauze and tape.Â
After removing the IV then bandaging the site, you take a moment to examine yourself. As expected, you're wearing a gown and bright yellow grippy socks. As your faculties thaw out, the questions begin to flood your mind. Â
Where the fuck am I? How did I get here? And where the hell are my clothes?Â
The most obvious answer is that youâre at the base. You missed something. Probably got captured, and now youâre in the underground maze you so carefully avoided.
ButâŠno. Thatâs not what happened. I made it outside. The place was on fire. ThenâŠwhat? White. It was all white.
Your limbs are pale and cold. Shaking them out, you quietly move about the space, opening cabinets looking for anything that might serve your escape. While it's not your suit, the set of blue scrubs excites you more than it should, perhaps. You slip into them quickly then don a mask. With a deep breath, you disconnect the leads of the heart monitor.
Alarms blare, blue lights flashing along the corridor. As you hear footsteps running toward the med bay, you pat down the bed frantically.
"She's gone," you shout. "Doctor Cho, she's gone!"
Chaos ensues. Medical staff race around you, calling out to one another, while you launch into the hallway.
"I'll take this way. You! Check that hall!"
A nurse in scrubs identical to yours nods at you then sprints away. Beneath your mask, you grin. Just act like you belong and no one will give you shit.Â
Though your limbs aren't happy about it, you run, keeping your eyes out for some hint of where you are, how you can get out. But your suit. You need it if you plan to survive. Â
Two right turns. One left. Straight for 50 steps.
A voice echoes down every hall. âAttention! We have a patient loose in the tower. Repeat, patient is loose on level 29. Code 4 Lockdown.âÂ
You run.
Alternating between rights and lefts, you try to put as much distance as you can between yourself and the med bay. Itâs not long, however, before you hear footsteps thumping on the floor in your direction.Â
âThere she is!âÂ
You bolt left, finding yourself in a long corridor with doors on either side, an electronic keypad on each. You try the first one, hoping someone was careless enough to leave it unlocked, but itâs no use. Thereâs no time to brute force a passcode, so you keep running.
âPatient is in corridor Alpha One-One-Three heading east toward the armory.âÂ
"FRIDAY," a voice behind you shouts. "Find Romanoff and get her here, now."
Footsteps are gaining on you from behind, so you press forward, hoping to make it to the armory or any place to hide. As you pass by, a door slides open, and a petite woman with wavy red hair steps out. She wears a white tank and a pair of grey sweat pants. Like yourself, she looks like she just woke up.
"This way!" You motion her to follow you, but she holds fast. Her eyes grow wide for a split second before she blurs toward you.Â
You go low to sweep her legs, but she dodges your attacks. You adapt, moving to score hits on upper body pressure points. Just when you think one lands, she dodges. From behind, a pair of heavy hands clutch your shoulders, so you clutch right back.
Time to shine.
With a feral grin, you squeeze, shoving heat through your palms. With a grunt, your attacker releases you. You whirl around, lift your hands and fire. Two small balls of flame launch toward the redhead and a pair of men in white lab coats.
Oh, my favorite.Â
You unleash two long gouts of fire, sweeping them in a shallow arc in front of you. Fresh screams echo in the hallway, some with pain.
âEnhanced! Sheâs enhanced!âÂ
With a quick glance toward the ceiling, you see sprinklers. Releasing a pulse toward them, the sprinklers do their job and you run away, listening to them slip behind you. With each turn through the maze, you repeat the process. At a junction, you conjure four flames, one for each corridor. They blaze down the hallways, skirting and triggering the sprinklers. Choosing one of the paths at random, you bolt.Â
Grippy socks donât fail me now.
Another right. Another drenched corridor. As you near a T-junction, a door to your left opens, and a tall dark figure steps out. In another universe, you might have stopped to admire the contours of his bare, sculpted chest. But when your eyes land on his metal arm, you slip and fall. Youâre able to twist into a baseball slide, then hydroplane under that outstretched arm. Terror grips you, your breath catching in your lungs. An involuntary scream stops in your throatâyou canât scream. You can only watch as the figure approaches, his metal hand reaching for you. Sliding further down the hall, you spin your body so that youâre on your knees and sailing backward. Two more blasts ignite on either side of him. Behind him, you see another man approaching, this one with dark skin and close-cropped hair.Â
Shit. I just need a minute to disappear.
You place your palms against the cold, wet floor and within a second, a cloud of steam fills the corridor. Adrenaline careens through your blood as your feet pound the floor. Another rhythm, closing fast. You whirl around just in time to catch the black manâs wrists. He sweeps at your ankles. You pivot, using the wet floor to your advantage. As you fall, you take him down with you, and land atop him.Â
Breath coming in quick gulps, you ask, âWhereâs my suit?â Your voice is hoarse and gravelly.Â
Ahead of you, two guards appear from another hallway. Without sparing them a glance, you loose two more gouts of flame. A pair of voices call out over wet slaps. The shriek of a skidding shoe precedes the sound of bodies dropping to the floor.
Focusing on the threat beneath you, you croak, "I donât want to hurt you, so I'll ask again. Where is my suit?â
âWhat suit?â
Your eyes search his. Heâs too calm. His stare flashes over your shoulder. Everything in your body clenches as you conjure a protective dome made of citrine light and glowing embers. You clench, waiting, hoping that it's not too--a supersoldier slams against your shield with a force that rocks you forward. The hiss of flame on flesh. A grunt. But it's not enough. He punches at the dome, consequences be damned. As your concentration wavers, your mask slowly burns away. The man beneath you goes rigid, eyes widening with fear as he watches the fabric turn to cinders and fall from your face.Â
You grit your teeth. You're so cold. So tired. "Where. Is. It?âÂ
Another concussive blow strikes your shield. You imagine that metal arm shattering your energy like brittle glass. A hand plunging through the fire to grasp you by the throat.Â
Wouldn't it just be poetic?
You're holding on to too much. The dome. Your own body. The physical strain of pinning the man to the floor. It's so little and yet it threatens to crumble. Something has to give.
âDonât make me do this,â you plead.Â
Youâre not sure what youâre asking of him. Donât make me hurt you? Or donât make me face the big bad wolf. Because that is the choice before you. Hands tightening around his wrists, you grit your teeth. The shield behind you begins to weaken as flames creep up your short sleeves.
âBuck, itâs getting warm down here!â
Shredding your throat with a primal yell, you launch from your crouch and spin to face the threat. You know you have little chance of surviving him, but you lash out with your flaming fists. With your shield down, you are able to snuff the fire burning your shirt. But your concentration still wavers under the strain on your body, on keeping the fire contained. Despite your exhaustion, you manage to dodge or block the first few swings from the metal-armed soldier. However, once that metal hand clasps around your wrist, you know itâs almost over. He twists your arm, spinning you so that your hand is wedged between your back and his brick wall of a chest. Clenching your fist, you create a delicate glove made of fire. Your shirt burns, but so does his skin.Â
You hear him hiss in pain. âSam, come on!â
The black man is off the ground and barreling toward you.Â
A glint of silver.Â
No. No, please!
The sight of the needle is enough to give you one last burst of energy. The fire coils deep inside your belly, roiling, growing.Â
âGet her other hand!â
The soldier obeys, pinning your other wrist with the first.Â
You let go and welcome the fire. As flames ignite your clothes, you let out one last scream of defiant rage. A scream cut short as you feel a sharp, piercing pain erupt in your thigh. You recognize the man in front of you now. He meets your eyes, watching. Waiting. There's something akin to pity there. As your vision blurs, dizziness overcomes you. Your limbs stop responding.Â
 âYou fuckaauuuh.â
You collapse limply into the Winter Soldierâs arms.Â
Again.

This is the most braindead take Iâve ever seen. And so many comments were AGREEING WITH OP!!
What Bucky did while operating as the Winter Soldier is not Buckyâs fault. He was TORTURED. BRAINWASHED. MANIPULATED. MIND CONTROLLED. He had NO CONTROL over his own actions for 70 years.
If ANYONE owes Tonyâs family anything - itâs Hydra.
And to be quite honest, I donât feel sorry for Howard Stark in the slightest. First of all he was primarily responsible for operation paperclip, which recruited Dr. Arnim Zola (you know⊠one of the first ones to experiment on Bucky?!?) to SHIELD. He was the one who decided to trust the wrong people, he was the one who brought Maria.
So no. Bucky doesnât owe anyone SHIT. He already spent enough time âmaking amendsâ for shit that wasnât even his fault.
Bucky deserves to live in peace. He deserves to retire. He deserves love.
Eddie: He splashed some water this way earlier, I meant to clean it up. I got careless.
Volt: You'll have to forgive him, he's been a bit overworked as of late.
Arma: Putting water and electricity together is usually a bad idea.
Player: I'll say! Almost burned the house down!
Eddie: I'm sorry.
Volt: Don't be so hard on yourself! Mistakes happen.
Can we just. talk about this scene. The way Volt leads with understanding, compassion, and patience rather than judgement, disappointment, or blame.
Not "He said he was sorry." Not "He'll remember to keep an eye on these things." Not "He'll do better in the future." No.
"Forgive him. He's having a hard time right now and has too many things on his plate."
It's clear he cares about Eddie, and wants to return all the provision Eddie's work offers them (maintaining the club, fixing wiring systems to allow Volt more power, trying to catch up on work so Volt has everything he needs to do his job, etc). It's Volt's sacred and cherished duty to provide for and protect Eddie in return.
And his response when Arma tells them to be more careful?
"I'm on it."
Volt: Cross my circuits. I'd hate to cause any more trouble for the poor thing.
Volt knows how many things Eddie has on his plate, and takes this responsibility for himself when he sees how much it's tearing Eddie apart. It's such a small detail, and it's not even in Eddie and Volt's storyline, but it speaks volumes about who Volt is as a protector.
