As if anti-English crusaders don't violate any rules, or I don't who these people are. In any case, writing an article that English speakers can read should take precedence over expressing national pride by introducing non-English words and spellings.

This block is disputed by a powerless, regular, everyday Wikipedian, as having been closed too soon, without adequate time for response by anyone.

WP already has abundant awards and recognition processes for worthy editors. It does not need an horrendously sycophantic, celebrity oriented, popularity based weekly !vote, often based on nothing more than fawning admiration. There is nothing collaborative about this project and the stated goals are adequately covered by existing merit structures.

You and all the supporters may find the conduct issues to be of insufficient relevance or water under the bridge, but not-so-subtle accusations of discrimination are uncalled-for. I find it extremely hard to believe that an airline could be successfully sued for not hiring a narcoleptic as a pilot.

Especially one who had something like 5 million edits between him and his bots, many of the tasks BTW have still not been picked up. Its just another reason that I need to leave Wikipedia in the rear view mirror. No matter how much I believe in the project itself I also feel that the project is destined for failure because we have become so politically driven and too much power has been pushed into the hands of too few. When we have longterm editors who can't even edit a protected template and have to ask for someon[e] else to post their work, who cannot do simple things because it requires admin tools they will never be allowed to have. Each day saddens me more and more. Every day I see good editors run down. It truly is time for me to go.

Please be aware - there a lot of long term opponents of mine here with lots of previous conflict with me - such as User:Jusdafax , User:Dougweller, User:Future Perfect at Sunrise, User:Mathsci, User:Nomoskedasticity , User:Wikiwind , User:Tom Morris are all conflicted users or users that I have other long term disputes with - I have had content disputes with a few other others, but , primarily these are those worthy of highlighting at this time

Flippant comment in the bot request is annoying and shows a lack of thoughtful treatment of the local community. (Also, shows a lack of understanding of how things work. "God bless the USA" would have been more appropriate flippant comment as it would show community awareness that there is a preference against using the term American.) Further comments suggesting that local community consensus harms wiki reads like so much whining. Further more, no idea what the bot would do here.
