Mark Bernstein, who broke the story of Wikipedia's mass ban of feminist editors, has now himself been called before the infamous Arbitration Committee.
His response was to respond to the accusations in poetry. A sample:

O’er what? I have had some strong words For your actions, and indeed some of you have had some for mine. Jimbo writes that I caused all this stuff from the first, And Gamaliel writes I am "widely unpopular" Throughout Wikipedia. I think he means wildly; He might not be wrong.

A longer response on the affective labor of fear, Wikipedia, and GamerGate from Michael Mandiberg. This grew out of our response for the Dazeddigitalarticle. Key takeaway: "This perseverance comes at [...] the emotional cost of constantly ‘edit out “bad” or “faithless” definitions.’ These kinds of harassment, while of a different scale, are of the same category as the harassment they mete out against Anita Sarkeesian, Zoe Quinn, Brianna Wu, et al. This is a kind of affective labor: the labor of being afraid."
So as far as I can tell, ArbCom, wikipedia's Arbitration Committee, voted unanimously that...
...people shouldn't interpret anything they do in any way or argue that their decisions have any impact on the world outside of the strict confines of wikipedia itself. Like they are forbidding, at least in sentiment, anyone from interpreting, citing, critiquing, or analyzing anything ArbCom does, ever.
Arbitration decisions should be read with these limitations in mind and should not be used, or misused, by any side in connection with any off-wiki controversy, dispute, allegation, or proceeding.
What the actual fuck
Additionally, if you look at the resolution directly above this one, you will see that they unanimously voted to define "Harassment" as making it harder for someone to edit wikipedia. That's literally all. That is their definition of harassment.
The world outside of Wikipedia apparently exists only insomuch as it provides material to be entered in a neutral and civil tone into Wikipedia.
Anyway this is why the issue of who holds authoritative control over interpretation is not just an issue in literature and art but in all aspects of political life as well. This is why I harp on it so damn much basically.
This block is disputed by a powerless, regular, everyday Wikipedian, as having been closed too soon, without adequate time for response by anyone.
