she usually has very few distractions      .     𝐡𝐞𝐫   𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤   𝐰𝐚𝐬   𝐡𝐞𝐫   𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲   .   eyes avert upwards  , attention  caught     .     hair like fire   ,   a stolid expression not so easily swayed   .    her gaze trails down  ,  the fabric of her catsuit hugging at her in all the right places  .  aria has no shame in staring … she was only looking .  ❝   well   ,  to  what   do  i  owe  this  visit  ?   ❞              𝐚𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐝𝐥𝐲   ,   𝐬𝐡𝐞'𝐬 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞   .                she places the beaker back down  ,    her long legs carrying her over to   ‘   RED   ‘   .   the white coat flares out slightly as she takes seat against the desk  /  glimpse of blue  ,  a vial neatly tucked against the she-scientist’s inner coat pocket   .   𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚢 𝚊𝚕𝚕 𝚔𝚎𝚎𝚙 𝚜𝚎𝚌𝚛𝚎𝚝𝚜  !       ❝    were you hoping for good news perhaps  ?   ❞        𝒃𝒐𝒍𝒅𝒍𝒚 she takes natasha’s hand ; her own hands curling over a finger as she leads it towards the breast of her jacket . no breath hitches in her throat , no nervousness in her action . they’ve been friends for some time                                   for a very long time , actually !     lips pucker slightly , faded red lipstick caressing her skin as she leads nat to the little vial tucked away close to her body . 𝐒𝐂𝐀𝐍𝐓 𝐒𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐄 / a devious expression written on her face .         ❝ left it there 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒚𝒐𝒖 .❞     an innocent press of her body against red’s hand      ,     the glassware clinking against her nails .        ❝    no need to thank me , but if you must know i am free for dinner in about three hours .  ❞

Natasha didn’t understand how she hadn’t seen it. Seen EVERYTHING. She’d been involved with SHIELD for years, and it was gone -- just like that. Everything was still falling -- she’d gotten intel that various bases were taken over by HYDRA. She had her mission -- help Steve and Sam. Stop HYDRA. But she had a mission of her own. Aria. She’d gotten names out of some of the people that she’d crossed on the way here -- there was a list of everyone that had been coming out of the cracks. And a lot of Aria’s coworkers ?? HYDRA. When she went into the lab, grateful for the quietness of the lab --------- away from the gunshots of the upper floors --------- she moved over to Aria and kept her mind prepared to pull out her gun if she needed to. “Just... wanted to see you.” Still, the redhead kept her stoic manner, letting Aria take her hand. She watched as the woman moved a bit closer, trying to figure out how to say this. How to say any of this. 

This was her chance.
