I have officially fixed my original timeline, because there were many mistakes with the old one, I found, and I got embarrassed so here y'all go;
Seen in Warriors Wiki Timeline Huge kudos to said Warriors Wiki Timeline, quite literally would have been driven INSANE without it,,, KEEP I
It now includes the StormClan timeline, which actually fit pretty well all things considered. It also features leaders ruling times too and the old timeline if you want to buy tomatoes to throw at it whilst laughing.
Feel free to copy & paste this to use for your AU's or whatever else you may use it for, I don't plan on covering post-Firepaw arrival unless it's actually wanted (the Warriors Wiki timeline is all for that).

@rustingsunau's Longtail asked for my apple music account but all he was listening to was Sir Mix-a-Lot?
I know you havenât set in stone your Longtail design yet but,, um Iw anted to draw the really cool âLongtailâ markings </3
I psycho analyzed Tigerclaw and Charredpawâs designs to color Longtailâs so it could sorta pass as one of your own but then I,,
I wanted to add my own colors too so I gave him the nose bridge brown. Iâd be very much fine with revisiting this piece to recolor him however you do decide to design him though!!
The continuation post from last week! Not so much kit abuse, as these stories lean more towards The Morally Gray (except for Splashheart. He's Splashheart.), but these stories still occur in the same era of leaders! Enjoy.
Sunningrocks is dangerous for any cat, experienced or not. He just became a warrior two days ago, and Splashheart of RiverClan can already feel the fur on his neck rising; the claws in his paws unsheathing, at the sight of glowering eyes from across the river in the foliage.
He had just caught his second fish of warriorhood, proudly presenting it to his mentor, Reedshine, and asking if she would be so kind to share it with him. They finish the catch, whether it was a border or hunting patrol, or even a simple walk before, it would quickly devolve into a battlezone when the two RiverClan warriors noticed ThunderClan's cats. Splashheart yells in panic to Reedshine to alarm her, and she orders him to not cross the river; she'll return with reinforcements.
Splashheart, somehow is able to fend off any attacks, perhaps the river was rushing too much for cats inexperienced with swimming to cross. Darkstar the First launches herself from the bushes, other RiverClan warriors behind her as they engaged in battle with ThunderClan warriors.
Easy pickings are in the youngest members, and Splashheart attacks an enemy apprentice. A ThunderClan warrior shoves him off of his attack on the apprentice. Reedshine swoops in helping Splashheart shake off the warrior, but she's unfortunately injured in the process. Darkstar orders Reedshine to the sidelines, and Splashheart frets over getting her back to camp himself. She scolds him. Warriors fight for their land. Going AWOL would do no good for RiverClan, and Darkstar commands him to continue fighting off ThunderClan with his clanmates. That's something any warrior would be expected to do, especially if someone close to them was injured. She states this whilst looking at a particularly frightened and trembling Eeltail, despite having just chased off a ThunderClan molly. He thinks the battle will be lost.
The battle party manages to drive off ThunderClan, and check over wounded. Splashheart, weary, finds an ominously transparent cat had been speaking to him throughout the battle until it was won. Congratulating him, she introduces herself as Aspentail, an ancestor to his elders. Perhaps he's hallucinating after the adrenaline and sudden exhaustion of battle, or maybe he's simply dreaming. Has he died from the battle? The voice of Aspentail had warned him of a sneak attack aimed at Eeltail before, so she couldn't be malicious. Aspentail says she fought for Sunningrocks the same way he had, and will continue to fight for it despite her death (if you would like to interpret this as an odd time travel situation similar to Jaypaw being isekai'd back as Jay's Wing, be my guest. Sunningrock's blending time and battles together that it can't tell apart, cats like Tigerclaw seeing and fighting off an oddly Appledusk looking cat? War stories relating to the paranormal would be fun). Splashheart agrees to continue to fight for Sunningrocks with her, and she disappears before him.
Blackbee, a clanmate of Splashheart, notices him speaking to seemingly no one, and asks if he's alright. He has noticed that the battle's over, right? Are you injured in anyway? She would fret. Perhaps that's why he's talking to himself, it seems out of character for Splashheart to do so. I'm fine, Splashheart would reassure her. The battle was won, Sunningrocks continued to belong to RiverClan for this generation. Darkstar attributes the win to the elders, and the third law of the Warrior Code is soon implemented; Elders, queens, sick or injured cats, and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders. Perhaps RiverClan had been low on warriors, and relied on the elderly and sick to win the battle.
While it might have been nicer if the RiverClan battle was against SkyClan, Beechstar of SkyClan is mortally wounded either way. He lay on his death bed of moss, den stale and musty from wounds and herbs that fail to save his remaining life. He doesn't die alone, Maplewhisker, his loyal deputy, Robinwing, one of his warriors, and his son and deemed successor, Mothpelt. It's noted that in these ancient times, leaders often chose their children to become the next leader over their deputy. Perhaps that was why Featherstar wept so much over Pebblefur. Duststar certainly is headcanoned to be Dust Muzzle, and it would make sense that he would understand the repercussions of halfclan relationships from his sister, Moth Flight's experience.
Unfortunately, Beechstar tells Mothpelt to continue the battle SkyClan has with RiverClan. He promises to fulfill his dying wishes, and does so with little thought for his surrounding clanmates. He would see his dying father's words through. He would honor him. He would see the downfall of RiverClan, and do so when his father's spirit may yet linger.
Robinwing watches Mothpelt plan, devise and set out to lead a battle patrol to RiverClan waters. Robinwing frets to Maplewhisker, he will not be a good leader, he whispers. Maplewhisker agrees, he will still need our support yet, he is simply following the words of his late father and the honor of SkyClan. Nervous and both doubtful, they follow Mothpelt to the raging rivers, clearly flooding and ready to devour any cat it sets its waves on.
Despite the rapids, Mothpelt persists and trudges on, with most of his clanmates following suit. Squirrelfur gives a look to Maplewhisker, but also follows his appointed leader. Spiderpelt, in opposition of Mothpelt's ideals, stays behind with Maplewhisker, Robinwing, and Rubblepaw. The named apprentice looks worriedly to his mentor, Robinwing, stuttering his fears of the river being able to reach them from up here and dragging them down to the depths below. Robinwing reassures him, all will be well.
He lied. The moment Mothpelt had led his cats close enough to the claws of the floods, cats were swept up, including him and Squirrelfur. Maplewhisker immediately started ordering for the cats both on land and in the waters to link with each other, biting tails and claws into pelts, anything to bring the cats together. She, Spiderpelt, Robinwing, and Rubblepaw connect each others teeth to tails, and would begin dragging cats out of the rapids.
Squirrelfur had just been saved in the nick of time, exhaustion having crept up on him to where he could barely keep his head above water. No warrior nor apprentice were lost, thankfully. Mothpelt also returned, most likely very scathed both physically and pridefully. With Maplewhisker's quick thinking, cats began to support in the change of leadership from Mothpelt to Maplewhisker. Whether Mothpelt was against or for this, is unknown. But he was alive, wasn't he? They would get to battle RiverClan another day. The ordeal leads to the eighth law of the Warrior Code; The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies, retires, or is exiled.
p.s. It's noted and commonly believed that Maplewhisker from Code of The Clans is Maplestar from Cloudstar's Journey

The Clans have some internal issues to work out this week. This is one of my favorite eras, so I hope you enjoy it too. Unfortunately, I did have to split this era into two parts because there's a whopping 6 stories! Don't worry, this will be the only two-parter era.
Leafbare is always harsh on the Clans, a greater degree in some Clans than others. ShadowClan, however, struggled through a particularly harsh season. Prey was scarce, other predators were hungry.
Driftkit and Fallowkit were going to be warriors, the former would make sure of it. Despite the wet campsite, they knew that their mother, Splashnose, would clean and warm them up in a jiffy. Splashnose was a protective queen, maybe to a greater extent than others, but there's no doubt she loves them. Even if they were spoiled.
Kits can always be a little too much to handle, though, so Splashnose would let her kits play in camp. They were rambunctious, but driven, especially Driftkit. He vocalized his dreams of becoming a warrior, lofty fantasies of being a war hero. They would have to practice, Driftkit would tell Fallowkit, who nodded in agreeance almost every time. What better to practice with than a real piece of prey? It's not warm, sure, but it's flesh to dig their claws in either way. They couldn't use claws when playing with each other, so this was the next best thing.
It was a measly mouse. No cat would miss it. They tore it to shreds, practicing battle moves and pouncing onto targets. The mouse wouldn't be able to run and hide in tunnels or swim away, climb trees or use its size to fight the kits off. They would become the best warriors ShadowClan's ever seen, legends that stories would be too grand to encapsulate.
Sunnytail caught them. It was the last piece of prey they had, she said. The warriors would bring back more prey, Driftkit would think. Fallowkit is asked where their mother is by the deputy, who now hearing the scolding her kits are receiving, has become visible from the nursery. Sunnytail and Splashnose begin to argue over the now ruined piece of prey. The Clan would go starving until the next hunting patrol returns, Sunnytail would force those words into Splashnose's mind, if they returned with prey that is. Splashnose defends her kits, and the two bicker until Lilystar enters the scene.
Lilystar lightly scolds the kits, much to Sunnytail's annoyance and Splashnose's attempts to still defend the kits. Driftkit and Fallowkit are asked if they understand the dire circumstances. They say they do. Whether it's true or not doesn't matter. An owl would swoop down upon the camp, the gathered cats scurry off, Fallowkit dashing after her mother to the nursery. Driftkit was stuck in place, fear having overtaken his little body that just moment ago had felt the rush of triumph after a mock battle like a warrior might.
The owl takes the mouse instead, leaving a frozen Driftkit there, petrified. Lilystar says it's a sign from StarClan to respect the prey they send to cats. Driftkit doesn't care about that now, though. Now under his mother's worried warmth and shielded from the sky's, you would wonder if he ever became a warrior after that at all.
The next gathering, Lilystar proposes the forth law in the Warrior Code; Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for it's life.
Lilystar was forgiving and kind to the kits, all things considered. Blizzardstar, her successor, would not be the same way. War was war, they needed all the helping paws they could get, especially against Hazelstar of WindClan. The two Clans were now at war, whether it's due to accusations of stolen prey, or a dead warrior at the border, it didn't matter now. Both Clans enlisted their younger members, noted to be trained by the senior warriors for battle.
It's not specified if there were previous battles leading to this specific one where kit-apprentices were utilized. Most likely not, although I would bet there were many battles between both leaders when they came to power. Perhaps they grew a little desperate with the rising number of casualties. What's one more dead body?
Daisytail, a WindClan queen and proud mother of the 3 moon old apprentice, Specklepaw, watches him train with Adderpaw, an older WindClan apprentice. It was hard for Daisytail to watch, despite Adderpaw letting Specklepaw win their mock scuffle and Slatepelt, her son's mentor, offering words of encouragement, this just wasn't right. Her son was far too young to go to battle. Slatepelt says that Specklepaw would need to learn to become a warrior quick, Hazelstar would not let ShadowClan continue to steal rabbits.
Disturbed and concerned, Daisytail goes to meet with a fellow queen who had kits a little younger than her own son, Hawkfoot. She tells Hawkfoot of her worries regarding Specklepaw, and soon her own litters, future in battle at such a young age. The other queen is more receptive, but she points out their job is to provide their Clan with warriors. What is the use of sending apprentices to training when they will die even before their warriorhood? That shut Hawkfoot up. The two decide to visit the other queens in ShadowClan to help them stand against their leaders. Perhaps they meet at a gathering, or get messages through fellow warriors, or at the moonstone with medicine cats, but they get the job done.
ShadowClan and WindClan warriors, including the kit-apprentices, are lined up and ready for battle. Daisytail, Hawkfoot, Oakleaf of ShadowClan, and other unnamed queens (but I personally like to think it was just these three) halt the battle. They warn against using their kits barely old enough to hunt in such a way. Blizzardstar questions and mocks the WindClan warriors of being too scared to fight, but is refuted by Oakleaf that the queens of ShadowClan support Daisytail's beliefs. The kits are too young to fight, and too young to even be thought of as warriors, much less treated as such. Blizzardstar and Hazelstar eye each other down. Daisytail, despite seeing her own son hide behind his friend, Adderpaw, with a frustrated and annoyed look, states that a kit should be at least 6 moons old to be made an apprentice. Blizzardstar and Hazelstar reluctantly agree. It would be folly to lose our Clan's future, Hazelstar would reason. That it would, Blizzardstar mirrored.
The two leaders would propose the new law at the next gathering; Kits must be at least six moons old before beginning their training as apprentices. Daisytail, comforting little Specklepaw, would say he is still her little warrior.
Apprenticeship in general would get another update. After the death of WindClan's deputy, Pebblefur, due to an unknown lump in his belly, Featherstar would assign his apprentice as his successor in deputyship. Acorntail, still young and clearly uncertain in his new role, promises that he'll do the best he can in his position to a clearly grieving Featherstar.
Unfortunately, Acorntail is more than lackluster in his role. His mind is scrambled and indecisive most days when assigning patrols. Quickpaw, a judgemental and bitter apprentice that his mentor, Morningcloud, didn't get chosen for the position, expresses his disdain for the cat openly. Regardless of their opinions, they are assigned with Acorntail on a hunting patrol.
Inexperienced, and yearning to prove himself, Acorntail scents a ThunderClan patrol near the border. Morningcloud has split off with Quickpaw to hunt after a rabbit, and since he was the patrol leader, he decided to confront whatever the ThunderClan warriors were doing near their borders. Acorntail smells prey on the enemy cats, and notices an apprentice has rabbit fur stuck to their nose. He accuses them of stealing prey, and when Morningcloud and Quickpaw return, orders them to attack the patrol before throwing himself into a cat to initiate a battle. No other cat begins to fight, though. Acorntail glares to Morningcloud, asking what she is doing, and she informs him that she wouldn't put Quickpaw in danger for rotten prey. He's angered by her words, ordering the two, again, to attack. They stay put, and Morningcloud reiterates that the dead rabbit was on ThunderClan's territory. Why hadn't you informed me? Acorntail would question. You didn't give me the chance. Morningcloud responded.
The patrol returned home, a shamed and embarrassed Acorntail heading to Featherstar's den. He murmurs of the patrol, saying that Morningcloud would have been a much better deputy than he. Featherstar listens quietly, and reassures him that cats make mistakes. He did not know how to be a warrior when he first became one, nor an apprentice fresh out of kithood. You will mentor one of Cherryfeather's kits, Pricklekit, Featherstar declares. Come next gathering, we will add a new law to the Warrior Code regarding deputies having to mentor at least one apprentice before ascending to the role.
Despite Featherstar's understand nature with Acorntail, she isn't so much a fan of her non-clanborn warriors. At a later gathering, after the law is set into place and during another harsh Leafbare, Featherstar accuses those in her clan that had kittypet origins of being unable to keep up and provide for the clan like her natural born forest cats. Owlstar the Second of ThunderClan refuted her claims, for if non-clanborn cats were banned from entering the Clans, their future generations would weaken and die. What was important was a cats loyalty to their Clan, regardless of origin. After this ordeal, and despite the rule Featherstar proposed being rejected, Owlstar the Second faced scrutiny and rumors regarding his origins. Was he a bastard son of a kittypet and a ThunderClan mother? He could have been found orphaned by ThunderClan, it wouldn't surprise anyone. Gossip aside, the Clans had more pressing battles to worry about instead of fussing over blood purity.

I wanted to submit a formal, weekly post, of why it would be a great idea for the Erin team to go back into the past. So, starting with the third generation of leaders and ending on the leaders during the Fall of SkyClan, weâre going to take Warriors History class for the next two months. Enjoy.
Forbidden romance between RiverClan and any other Clan is basically the M.O. of the writing team. So, to not skip a generation, Cloudberry of RiverClan took up her princessly duty of starting the tradition and getting with one Ryewhisker of WindClan. They frolic around streams and rivers, challenge each other. Cute couple things done on dates when you're cats residing in different colonies. They're young and stupid, refreshingly so, but are still perceptive to the blights the Clans are dealing with. RiverClan just had a bad greencough epidemic last Leafbare, so their kits would be a welcome addition. Ryewhisker also states that Emberstar never minded him visiting the campsite. He would be there for their kittens' birth. Besides, he'd continue, Emberstar's best friend was Thistletail, a ThunderClan warrior, so he'd clearly understand. Ryewhisker couldn't keep his big mouth shut on his dreams of the kits coming to live with him in WindClan when they're older. Uncomfortable with the notion, Cloudberry and Ryewhisker return to their respective Clans without any other words on the matter.
Unfortunately, the Clans' societies just got settled two generations ago, and the series is called "Warriors", and it wouldn't be so if there weren't any wars going on.
Cue Emberstar of RiverClan (who also just so happens to be Cloudberry's father), accusing Duststar of WindClan for stealing RiverClan's fish. What does the average tom in Warriors do when accused of something? We go to war!
Duststar and Stonetail, his deputy, lead a fight against Emberstar and RiverClan. Cloudberry is in attendance of the battle, and so is Ryewhisker. Hawkfur of WindClan is about to attack Cloudberry, only to be stopped by his clanmate and friend, Ryewhisker. Pinned down by his friend, he's informed of their relationship (and offspring) and is expectedly surprised at the news. One could either take his surprise being for the halfclan relation (but it is mentioned previously that Ryewhisker at least visits the RiverClan camp, with Emberstar's knowledge) or that RiverClan would send a pregnant molly to war. Either works for me, but I personally like the latter.
Despite Ryewhisker defending Cloudberry from his own, an unnamed RiverClan warrior strikes him down then and there. The battle ends after his death.
Soon after the battle, the gathering arrives, and with the other three leaders in agreement, Emberstar and Duststar implement the first law of the Warrior Code; Defend your Clan, even with your life. You may have friendships with cats from other Cans, but your loyalty must remain to your Clan, as one day you may meet them in battle.
Not a year later, ThunderClan and ShadowClan would also be fighting over prey and borders. Hollystar of ShadowClan's successor, Brindlestar, proved to be a very hotheaded and accusatory molly. It's noted that she is the leader to first jump upon the gathering rock, despite her being the youngest. Emberstar of RiverClan, the eldest and rightful first speaker, is unable to speak against the blatant disrespect. She accuses ThunderClan of stealing prey, misinformation quickly refuted by Whitestar the First himself. Brindlestar continues to say that ShadowClan is struggling to find enough prey to feed both their old and young. Whitestar simply replies that it isn't his fault ThunderClan chases off any raiding parties from their lands. Brindlestar claims they aren't stealing prey, because how else would they be able to survive since ShadowClan land doesn't have much to begin with.
They argue to the point where their deputies, Vinetail of ThunderClan and Lakestorm of ShadowClan, get into the fray as well. Vinetail questions Brindlestar harshly and Lakestorm states that ShadowClan deserves to have rights to ThunderClan prey because they're starving on their own. Stonestar of WindClan comments that every Clan struggles to find prey during Leafbare, not just ShadowClan. He is backed by Birchstar of SkyClan, who states every Clan lives in the environment best suited for their hunters.
StarClan doesn't take too kindly on all of the arguing, however, and a tree branch breaks off from one of the Great Oaks surrounding the sacred space, crashing onto the clearing below. Piles of snow are sent up onto the surrounding cats.
Birchstar is the first leader to call out to his deputy, Rainsplash, who informs him that every SkyClan cat is accounted for. Emberstar is the second leader, stating RiverClan's distance from the fallen branch wouldn't have killed anyone, followed by Stonestar's deputy Mudpuddle's reassurances, then Brindlestar, and Whitestar checks with his own deputy last. No one died despite the massive range of the branch ecompassing most of Thunder- and ShadowClan, however the sign was clear to the leaders that a new rule regarding borders was to be added to the Warrior Code; Do not trespass or hunt on another Clan's territory. All 5 leaders were unanimous in the addition of the new law. Brindlestar, however, gets one last word in, stating that StarClan must not want ShadowClan to eat inferior prey that runs rampant in other the other Clan's territories.

I know this is a big ask for the Warriors community, but to my specifically astronomy/moon lover delinquents, I would really love it if you could find a suitable date where canon Mossheart of ShadowClan, Smoketalon, Swiftfoot, Spottedpaw, etc. etc. from Code of the Clans actually had taken place.
I've looked at the list of 20th Century Eurasia's blood moon dates from November 7th, 1938 (because by my count, that's when all the original founders were dead/giving them room to get out of the space between prefix and suffix) to November 18th, 1975 (because by my timeline, that's right before SkyClan leaves) and after sifting through the 13 dates for when there would have been a blood moon that would have been a total cover and was also a half moon/either first or third quarter, there was only ONE date that worked.
I lied, none of them did, but the closest (all 12 others were full moons), was the waning gibbous, on December 19th, 1964. Not a half moon, but it's really close, and this was when medicine cats weren't meeting regularly and Mossheart came up with the rule for medicine cats to meet every half moon. It's a lot closer to modern times, which I don't mind personally for that rule to be instated, but it's not a half moon. It's close, so I may run with it regardless as a headcanon (Mossheart, Smoketalon, etc. would be ruled by Marshscar/star at this point, y'know, Ripplestar's deputy?)
Yes, I know it's a fictional series and very much history divergent and we can't even agree on the set years for the Dawn of The Clans arc but,,, but,,, it'd just be cool and satisfying. Don't ask about Sol's eclipse, probably the total lunar eclipse on Februray 21st, 2008.
Can you imagine modern cats telling some ancient clancat like, say, Spiderpelt of SkyClan about the events of The Broken Code.
"What do you mean you can see spirits? Are you a medicine cat? No??"
"So you fed another Clan's dying leader DEATHBERRIES and he DIED and you're coming to me about it? I wish I did that with Mothpelt."
"What do you mean dead StarClan cats can possess the living? Mothpelt already acts possessed, is Beechstar possessing him to continue the war on RiverClan? Can you see his spirit?"
"Yeah, Maplewhisker had us all make a chain of cats to save our drowning clanmates... No... That wouldn't work in the Dark Forest waters..."
"Tribe? The Sisters? Hey- why is SkyClan wearing kittypet collars... Why do you have so many cats over 10 years old? Our average lifespan's like, 6?"

Can you blame me? There's just so many variations and just enough leeway with the canon timeline of who could be whose child/parents and while I hate that Mapleshade's Vengeance has like 7 viable cats that's the thread of the already crumbling bridge between StormClan's Folly and Pinestar's Choice, it just tickles my brain a little.
Even stepping away from the tree for a moment, this point in time with like, what 5 warriors or whatever, could be interpreted as a few moons after StormClan and whoopdeedo, a bunch of cats left (cough, Fernwhisper and Huntheart), so we're kinda in a small decreasing population, we're dying out and- oh! Let's just invite in rogues and kittens we don't know the history of yada yada. Now we have Rockpaw, Littlepaw, Flashpaw and Daisypaw and just a missing generation of cats.
The correct answer is that the Hunter team only put in the cats Mapleshade interacted with, and I'm choosing this option because StormClan is getting a different translation where either Stripestink or Galefart is not leader and yada yada spoilers that are second arc important.
I yearn to make Lionheart and Speckletail siblings, but Frostfur is a Snow-Thistle kit so the age gap would be too wide. Even if Frostfur were a Storm-Dapple kit (which I have debated. A lot. A bunch. I salivate at the idea... Hm.)
Darkstripe continues to be a pain in the rear, I might just neuter this screwball (I can't, I need his genes) and kick him to a crazy cat ladies house (I can't, I need his genes).
The only thing messier than this family business is the political drama. I swear, it'll be juicy. To tie you over, Thunder's Colony will be getting a Thanksgiving equivalent holiday to celebrate the peace treaty made with some pampas cats that they've since intermarried with and hey, Thunder's Colony is a heap of Pampas-Domestic hybrids, isn't that cool? Right American Government? Isn't that...? What are you doing? DON'T SEND THE POOCHES-
I want to use as many canon characters as possible for this tree before even thinking about coming up with my own characters to fill *important* gaps (like Millie's mate/kit daddy. It's not Graystripe, he's had enough.)
This has lead to the rebirth of the forgotten kitties in the wiki that the books either mentioned once or an author chatted about them, like Skunkpaw or Bat-whatshisname etcetera etcetera. They're all getting names and love and stories, particularly that one heterochromia dark black tabby from Crookedstar's Promise. My beloved.
Dangling Leaf is Redtail's ancestor and that darned red tail trait is a foreshadowing sign that it isn't Tigerclaw that Firepaw should be worried about.
Cue an Afton father/daughter evil duo Fnaf movie style
The Redsiblings demanded to be designed and given thought to their stories! Redtail, while an amazing second-in-command (or a Headchaser, in Thunderâs Colony terms), is also an amazing father! Depsite the hardships of being a single father, having lost his mate, Dotterelcloud AND his youngest Sprucekit, heâs raised his kits pretty darn well! They get along too! Mostly⌠But hey, they keep out of enough trouble that Redtail knows Dotterelcloud is proud.
I had a lot of fun thinking up designs for these quadruplets, but I think Sprucekit (who is Chestnutkit in canon) is my favorite. I hate doing stripes of any kind (especially mackerelâŚ), but I think the three with stripes all turned out okay for test designs.
First, Ravenpaw, the older and tallest of the Clouds (Thunderâs Colony apprentices) is a solid black cat with the tiniest bits of white. Heâs on the shy side, more emulating his mother while he is built more like Redtail. He never really was the same noisy kit after his mother and brothers death, but heâs trying, and Redtail appreciates his effort. A perfect mix of both, and an even perfect-er son!
Sandpaw, the second oldest, and second tallest of the Clouds is a cream-and-fawn tortie, with underlying broken mackerel stripes and a little bit of white. She often has begun to lash out, and Redtail hopes that isnât because of losing her mother and brother at such a young age. Sheâs⌠Out there, Redtail would say, but he loves her all the same. Sheâs loyal and proud to be of Thunderâs Colony. The great makings of a Stormchaser (a Thunderâs Colony warrior), and maybe even a commander if Redtail had to wonder.
Cherrypaw, the third of the litter, and fourth tallest Cloud, is a bicolor red-and-white tabby with classic stripes. Sheâs the mediator between Ravenpaw and Sandpaw, or pretty much any cat in the colony and Sandpaw. Sheâs slow-going and joyful, always willing to sit and listen to othersâ issues. Redtail loves her to death, but canât help but worry over whether or not she fully took the time to grieve her mother and brothers deaths.
Sprucekit, the youngest, was also the smallest kit in the nursery (Dotterelcloud joked that he almost broke Darkstripeâs tiny record, Darkstripe didnât appreciate the joke), is a dull, red classic tabby. He and Ravenkit always got along best, but sometimes he could be a bit rough during play time. Redtail wonders what kind of cat he would have been, had he survived the sickness that took his mother just before him⌠He misses Sprucekit dearly.
and yes, there is a little Firepaw and Graykit. They donât have official designs yet, despite them having their genetic code done. Theyâre the colors recognizable to them, so enjoy the sillies!
I hope to do some more designs (especially ones that will call back to their ancestors designs, like Sandpaw and Cherrypaw specifically, who will look a lot like some villains from the Dawn of the Clans au cast) soon, but who knows, I'll be pretty busy.
They all have matching freckles and a mole on their left muzzle because I think it's cutesy. All Sandkin will have the freckles and a chance to have a mole if I think it fits the character. A lot of ThunderClanners will see these freckles and know they're related to Mother Thunder (Thunder's mate) and therefore are seen as related to Thunder himself. Another sign would be any smudged or twisted tabby markings that make it look like a lightning bolt, which Cherrypaw has a little of but Sprucekit (this world's Chestnutkit) definitely shows.
Sprucekit's markings were actually based on this singular photo! He does look a little like a chocolate classic BUT HE IS RED!!! He is a red tabby. Shush, he's just a little dull and he's sensitive to it! Don't point it out!! He's just a baby.
Also yes, they do have matching neck fluff spots. It's CUTE.
Why hasn't there been a known ShadowClan-WindClan half-clan relationship?
They've both been neighbors in the old forest for so long (admittedly, they did have a road in between them but there's also those tunnels underneath those roads in ShadowClan leading to both WindClan and ThunderClan).
Not so much in the lake territories now unfortunately with the other three clans making a ShadowClan sandwich.
I'm sure it happened at some point, but we haven't gotten one yet with the known history.
Many things are temporary, like this post, as I know not how to properly start up a story blog such as this. However, in the absence of art of these little silly kitties for now, I will provide some fun draft family tree facts for this Warriors AU that might tickle your fancy! I haven't yet fleshed out genetics either, but from the top of my head they should all be good to go in terms of carrying the correct genes.
-Darkstripe was originally going to be the middle child of Thistlethorn (Thistleclaw), and Snowfall (Snowfur). Whitestone (Whitestorm), was the eldest, and Frostfur was the youngest. He's now the brother of Nightkit and Mistkit.
-Ravenpaw and Sandpaw are going to be siblings instead of the Raven-Dust brotherhood (or, lack thereof in canon). Cherrypaw and Chestnutkit are also apart of their litter!
-Spottedleaf and Lizardtail (Longtail) are littermates!
-Brindleface has a thing for older men, but she also has dreamed of her kits all having matching names! Ashkit, Sootkit, Cinderkit and Smokekit (Ashfur, Swiftpaw, Cinderpelt, and Ferncloud) all having fire-related names while there is a fiery apprentice is simply a coincidence!
-Leopardfur is cousins with Fuzzypaw (Heavystep), Shadepaw (Shadepelt) and Breampaw (the other Silverpaw). Her grandmother, Dawnstripe, is WindClan.
-Stonefur is no longer Bluestar's and Oakfall (Oakheart)'s kit! Instead, he is Dewshine (Lakeshine) and Owlpool (Marshcloud)'s only surviving kitten.
-Hail River (Hailstar) is now the father of Rainface (Rainflower) and Storkmoss (Brambleberry, whose name is subject to change).
-Gorseroot (Sandgorse) has four kits with Starlingfur (Palebird), who does not get with another cat after his death. Buzzardfeather (Reedfeather), Hawktalon (Hawkheart), Rook Wind (Tallstar), and Mothkit (Finchkit).
-Cloudstorm (Cloudstar) and Jackdaw Wind (Swiftstar) are brothers... There is no SkyClan in these colonies' history, but the cats still cause political mayhem in its absence.
-Shrike's Heart (Pebble Heart) stayed in WindClan. The WindClan nurses at the time had not yet taken their vows of chastity.
-All of ShadowClan each have their own last names instead of just a prefix-suffix. They take great honor in their family and familial ties. i.e. Brightflower Tar.
-Duskpelt Tar (Yellowfang) does not have any kittens with Raggedpelt Shadow, who instead have his three with Foxclaw Musk (Foxheart).
-Blackfoot Fog has two kits! Badgerkit Fog and Sheepkit Fog (Whitethroat). Their mother is most likely a loner.
In terms of outsiders;
-Instead of being brothers, Barley is now the father of Serpentine and Celestine (Hoot and Jumper)
-Quartz (Quince) is mates with Ferocious (Ferris), Jake's brother instead of Jake. Scourge and Firestar are instead cousins for this AU.
-Myler (from Mapleshade's Vengeance) is Mocha's (Crystal's mate from an author statement) father!
-Smudge is a little under 3 years older than Rusty at the beginning of what would be 'Into the Wild'... Jake also pretty much adopted him when he found him as a kitten, but Nutmeg was unconvinced, who was more worried of being attacked by the wild cats in case the kit was theirs... She did nurse him in the end, on account of her galactorrhea, with no other kittypet volunteers, and how ever convincing her Jake can be. They want kits anyway, so what's the harm?
I'm doing a fun thing, since the Warriors timeline makes me so mad, why not create my own?
This is still in the neonatal baby phase, but I've pretty much locked in on what I want this story to be focused on... The history of the clans up to Firepaw, and how he (and other cats during his time wink wink nudge nudge) make history on the way of learning history. Since I'm the only one working on this (which means it will be slow-going... Be warned) and with how it's progressed since my start of the idea of even doing this from the summer, I'm happy enough to actually launch it and hold myself semi-accountable with fun war-addicted kitties. This will also aid my learning in history, wars, governments, and military in general because I want to.
Also I'm entirely confused on how I even want to tell this story in an engaging format for here? I don't want to write full-fledged books, so maybe I'll do art with some lore in the texts??? I would love ideas.
Currently rewriting/taking detailed plot-notes the DoTC arc to set in stone how I want these sillies' cultures and laws and governments to develop and eventually set in stone for Firepaw's time,,, I have ideas already storywise of what I want to happen (like bringing back BoTC Gray Wing, Bumble SURVIVING and THRIVING, Turtle Tail not taking bull), it just needs more trauma and war. And less Clear Sky apologistness.

Is StormClanâs Folly just,,, 1984,,, but cats???
On the plus side, however, they actually have a pretty straightforward timeline following the seasons from what I can tell, minus the ambiguous mentions of a snowdrop and new shoots in chapter 7 that couldâve either been late fall/early winter since the chapter starts with a very hot spring and summer. Unless itâs supposed to be late winter/early spring, but there was a fire so Iâm giving this plant the benefit of the doubt.
Unfortunately, from what I can tell, Songkit and Palekit (the former we never hear of again besides the allegiances, which is also true for probably half of these StormClan cats), they have an incredibly long kitship/apprenticeship⌠The book goes for about 3 years? Minus chapter 1âs gathering, but for chapter 2 to the books end⌠Palepaw is just there, and so is Owlpaw and Harepaw, who are also not mentioned besides allegiances ): ALSO WHERE IS MY BABY MAPLESHADE AND OR OAKSTAR??? Absolutely robbing. Not even a singular hint at who their parents could be??? Depressing.
Hunted through the Redux asks to find your blog just to tell you this. Idk if you've seen but on Vicki's Facebook page, she says that the Larkwing (WindClan medicine cat) who protested SkyClan getting exiled is the same Larkwing in Mapleshade's Vengeance, which severely fucks up the timeline even more bc it means SkyClan being driven out, StormClan existing and failing AND Mapleshade's Vengeance are all events that happen so close together that WindClan had the same fucking medicine cat during all 3 events. The allegiances of StormClan's Folly don't mention Larkwing (bc the allegiances are for like, a different era of WindClan when Galestar is leader as opposed to when she's an apprentice like how the book starts) and she's not mentioned after like, Chapter 1, but we know she has to survive bc Vicki says she's the same one in Mapleshade's Vengeance so like đ what is this timeline
This is true lol, Iâve actually had to think about this ask for a bit whilst looking at the renewed timeline Iâm making to fit the 1920âs clan founding, and SkyClan being driven out all the way to Mapleshadeâs Vengeance including StormClan in the middle (which Iâm still unsure of where it fits and when it takes place, but Birdflightâs still alive and her kits are warriors by this time, so at least a year after SkyClan leaving. I havenât read StormClanâs summary on the wiki fully yet so where I originally put them in 1980 might change but it still stands that they are between these two major events) are about seven (7) years apart. Only seven (7), which is in itself incredibly problematic for these catsâ memories⌠Did a mass hysteria right before Mapleshadeâs time happen? Thereâs two generations here and itâs not.. Adding upâŚ
However, this is extremely good for the âLarkwing is soooo old!!â argument because even if Larkwing graduated into a full medicine cat at the bare minimum of 12 moons old (a gifted medicine cat, if you will), she wouldnât be that old all things considered to witness all of these tragedies that affected the culture and way of life of the clans. Mapleshadeâs Vengeance frustrates me in the whole other way that the allegiances arenât completed we have a lot of missing warriors and yada yada whatever, this is what background characters are for and elders in Goosefeatherâs curse and Pinestarâs Choice are for.
Originally, I was hoping, begging, PRAYING, that StormClan wouldâve been right after or right before the whole Ryewhisker/Cloudberry forbidden romance plot during Duststar of WindClan and Emberstar of RiverClanâs time, putting this during these two clansâ third leaders and during the late 1930âs. Not too bad for a forbidden romance rule set up that was either just after or right before the official rule went up that cats canât get jiggy with other clan cats not of their clan, and this is why. Because what happens is societal collapse, fear of total destruction of the other two clans. Also WindClan being apart of both of these could be in itself a stereotype for the clans and some other interesting plot points that could go along with this.
So while Larkwing is secure in her spot and happily watching the world burn around her, which would be such a good POV for this historical timeframe? A character not apart of all of this just watching the clans tear themselves apart over the loss of a major group in their society, the eventual combination and then decomposition of two other major groups (one of which she is apart of⌠How does she feel about this? What? Can medicine cats have kits too now??? No? But we can combine two clans huh.) that made the remaining two wary of another civil war and âwill we have to drive you out too???â to a collection of homicides plaguing the clan they just disbanded from and their long time battle buddies in the river over a forbidden relationshipâŚÂ
The history of these Brittish Warrior cats is genuinely so rich and full of potential but the Erinâs just donât take a moment to stop and see it, they just want to keep the story closest to Firestar and his time and later descendants alive because⌠He started this series, he was the original, a book they only expected to be a standalone yet when cash started rolling in, the Harperâs jumped on it. I donât blame them for doing so but⌠Guys come on, we have so many tales from Code of The Clans and Battles of The Clans that we could just⌠Pick one. Stick with them for a book or two;
-Lilystar and Sunnytail of ShadowClan during the winter of â41 that was so much harsher and unforgiving than the others that kits playing with prey was like a slap in the face and another inch dug for their graves⌠Would Sunnytail have handled this better than Lilystar? What was their relationship prior to and post this event? How did ShadowClan heal?
-Blizzardstar of ShadowClan and Hazelstar of WindClanâs civil war where Hazelstar was using kitten soliders in the mid â40âs. What pushed Hazelstar into doing this and how did he moralize this as okay to himself? What were Blizzardstarâs thoughts on all this? Was he fine with it or repulsed? Did he care? What about the other clansâ thoughts on these conditions?
-Featherstar of WindClan, so heartbroken from her deputy, Pebblefurâs death, that she appointed Acorntail, a cat whoâs never mentored anyone. Sheâs the leader right after Hazelstar, was she affected by his actions? How did she grow up and in what type of WindClan was it? A loving one or harsh one? Was she thinking clearly or could she just not see life past her deputy, what even was her relationship to Pebblefur? To Acorntail? She even tried to implement a law into the code stating kittypets shouldnât join the clans⌠Why?
-The whole SkyClan succession crisis with Beechstar, Mothpelt, and Maplewhisker with a war going on with RiverClan as well. This whole story implies that the deputy wasnât officially the next leader but whoever the leader chose as the next leader on their deathbed, mainly including their family members⌠Were all leaders up to this point somehow related to each other? Were Featherstar and Pebblefur siblings or cousins? Is Acorntail a kitten of either or? Is Hazelstar a descendant of Windstar and Blizzardstar from Ravenstar?
-Morningstar of ThunderClan, racked with grief over his lost mate and kits due to a ShadowClan kerfuffle, begging for more room at a gathering that just two (2) years prior, Darkstar of SkyClan had given ThunderClan more room for their kits. Did this affect Redstarâs kithood? The leader after Morningstar? Did he hate the other clans so much due to the grief caused he simply had to jump at the opportunity to remove SkyClan so that they would have more room for prey to feed their hungry mouths? Was ThunderClan starving at this time??
-Dovestar and Hawkstar of WindClan and SkyClan, fighting a war that has gone on since the leaders before them, now having to fight against ShadowClan during Ripplestarâs era with Finchstarâs ThunderClan at a gathering⌠A place of sworn truce now turned once again into a bloody battlefield.
Larkwing is begging for retirement at this point, thereâs so much more drama from past generations spanning over the 20th century for these cats, and yet SHE has to witness not one, not two but THREE historical events??? Girl had some pretty good elder stories, Iâll tell you that.
