huckleabbot but where the vampire Jack tracks a delicious scent from what appears to be his soulmate; a human named Dennis.

The vampire Jack follows a delicious scent to a homeless shelter in Pittsburgh. The smell is intoxicating, unlike anything Jack has ever smelled before; it's so addictive that it makes him lose control and attack several homeless people until a young human finds him covered in blood.

"What happened here…?"

The young human asks, trembling. Jack's nostrils flare as he sniffs out the source of the wonderful aroma while the boy stares at him with a terrified expression.

"It's you."

Jack says with a smile, saliva and blood dripping from his jaw, as he stares at the boy.

Now hear me out

Jack doesn’t drink coffee (anymore). He got too reliant and then decided to cut it out of his system because it made his anxiety worse and made him jittery.

He’s got a bit of a superiority complex about it now (he’s a green drink or smoothie kind of guy, always rambling on about antioxidants and how caffeine isn’t good for the body etc etc).

Enter Dennis who grew up in the Midwest and practically had an iv drip of black coffee since he was 10. He can go through about three or four pots on just a normal day off— not to mention when working. He doesn’t like energy drinks but he’ll drink them for work occasionally, mostly stealing one of trinity’s, but he says they taste like piss and batteries (he likes alani but they’re too sweet and once he shotgunned a cotton candy bang before cranking out a six page essay in an hour close to midnight cause he forgot about it and shit it was due).
