She breaks the 4th wall in literally every game she’s in.

In doing so, she continues to claim she is the protagonist of the games- even ones where she’s not the primary protagonist.

She also gets extremely defensive when her role as protagonist is in jeopardy.

In the Ultra Dimension universe, where Neptune didn’t become the CPU of Planeptune, she eventually became a universe-hopping bug collector.

Neptune is basically 100% dweeb and it’s hard to isolate key instances, but let’s just cover this point as well before closure:
